L83 to 4l80e flex plate
Having a hard time finding any info on what it takes to mate 4l80e to Gen V 5.3 l83.
Any info or pointers would be great. I seen one mention of tci flex plat with a custom bushing but I couldn’t figure out if it was custom torque converter or factory style 80e converter.
thanks for any pointers in right direction hopeing to keep this budget minded so any budget friendly options would be great. Also my 80e is a 01 from express van.

Gen V crank flanges are 8 bolt, GM makes one, P/N 19125597, it's made for the LSA which also uses the 8 bolt crank and is designed to use with the LSX engines
19125597
8-Bolt Crankshaft Adapter Kit – LSA/LSX454
• Use with LSA, LSX454 and LSX454R crate engines with
8-bolt crankshaft flange
• Includes flexplate, adapter hub and hardware
• Provides the correct converter pilot support for production
4L80/85 style torque converters
• Conventional 6-bolt flexplates do not bolt up to LSA and
LSX454 engine

Awesome that’s what I found but wasn’t sure it was correct. I couldn’t find how many tooth flywheel l83 used for sure to know if it was correct. Do you know what starter is the correct one for this combo? My block doesn’t have one with it so want to make sure I know with LS there was a large and small starter wasn’t sure if LT gen V is the same way or not I’m new to them completely.

However, the starter that I had looked up for a LT4 build was #12619241, so, maybe google around and see what you can find there.
Check out SwapTime on YouTube too, Mitch has a ton of GenV stuff up and he might be of help too.
Edited to add; I will say that GM / AC Delco Starters are one of the most confounding things I've come across when learning about LS/LT. There are like 4 billion variations, sizes, outdated threads, and superseded part numbers, and it's absolutely not easy. take lots of notes and keep your receipts is my only advice.

Think I found a working combination.
Order the GM performance flexplate and torque converter adapter ring kit (19125597) and got a jegs hitachi LS mini starter. won’t know for sure til engine is in and really try it but looks like everything meshes perfectly and will happily work together.
Next step is bolt up the trans and test once trucks they are going in a are ready. Sadly that is months away from happening.

It worked!

Bolted trans and motor together and spun it over last night with starter. Everything went together perfect. 5 bolts lined up for bell housing to engine block. Flexplate and stock torque converter with hitachi style jegs LS mini starter all worked together perfect.
For reference I’m also using speed engineering shorty LT headers and dirty dingo slider c10/small block Chevy engine adapter mounts with Holley LT swap oil pan and I have tons of room around engine and crossmember. So far so good!
wish me luck on cam install and DOD lifter delete as that’s the next step.
