They said the release would be at 7PM EST on this date but the Chevrolet website isn't showing it yet.

But here's some pics. They did not go with the sharply angled tail lights.

i was correct about a couple things: the 'select a tune' and the gen 3 mag ride.

my suspicion is that the ediff is actually from ferrari and was acquired in a trade for the mag ride suspension.

The new Corvette does have a "Ferrari" appearance now. I would like to get one even more now that I see the lame interior (radio area) is improved. The only down side is I couldn't afford one unless I got the bare bones base model. Too bad a decent trim is $75K.

I'm not that impressed by the 2014 Corvette. I love the 6.2L LT1 motor, but not a fan of the more European design and style.

I am a little reserved on this new car. I am more apt to wait until ZR1/Z06 specs come out to truly judge it. I would love the back with split window and better tail lights, but clearly this is function over form styling, driven by aerodynamics and drag reduction. All blacked out or in a sinister Gunmetal/Dark blue would look way better IMHO.

I'm pretty sure they stated this model performed better than the 427 Grand Sport. I have high expectations for the Z06 and ZR1 if they make them for 2014. Makes me wonder tho....what engine? Surely not the LS7?

I read somewhere this below:

Current gm estimates(not final yet)

0-60 3.9 seconds
1/4 12.3 @118
1g
70-0 155'

177" length
73.9 " width
48.6" height
3350 est curb weight

Probably, but the Corvette is not a strip car. Its designed to be the ultimate street car in acceleration, handling, braking etc. I have seen auto-X cross cars that were built spectacular, but had too much power to handle really well.

I would bet that model puts 450hp to the tires.

I bet you will not see Z06/ZR1 type cars for 1-2 years. LS7 is most likely dead. Hard for that big bore to stay emissions friendly. Although a DI 427 would be interesting.
