Considering the official anouncement was yesterday morning, and final testing and certification is not complete, there isn't a whole lot to talk about.

I'l play. Considering that the LS9 was touted as above 600 when announced, I see no way that they bring this in at less than the LS9. Just my guess.

blower that is .3L less in displacement than TVS on the LS9, heads that flow less stock than the LS9, and smaller cam plus DI = same or slightly under. how much boost does a stock ls9 make?

Mostly a friendly guess. It is touted as a more effecient unit. I doubt we can make a comparison of the heads yet. Ls9 was 10.5 psi. Initial report for LT4 is at least 9.5psi. Should be fun to find out as more information becomes available.

Stainless steal headers stock - check; 10.0:1 compression - check; Forged pistons, and rods - check; TI valves - check; Stronger heads vs the LT1 - Mentioned Roto casting (so possible); Direct Injection, Active Fuel Management, and Variable Valve Timing - check; & Better clearance for the SC- check (listed as only 1 inch taller then the N/A LT1's manifold now thats quite a feature).

3 different downforce packages as factory options.... interesting indeed.

To be honest I'ld guess that the C7 Z06 will either match or beat the C6 ZL-1 off the line and out of corners.
Because VVT + boost is a hell of a low end torque combo down low and allows for a higher rpm peak hp (and an altogether stronger power band when setup correctly).
