Maybe this will be better than there 12 bolts which don't hold up at the track.

Ditto. In the market for a 9" but might hold off for a bit and see what happens with this.

I talked to the rep at Strange Engineereing tonight and asked a few more questions.

- The S60 can be bought in 3-channel or 4-channel configuration, compatible with ABS and TRACTION CONTROL.
- It has ZERO issues with lowered suspensions... much better than a 9".
- Comes with brake backing plates for 1993-97 f-bodys, 1998 and up will require you to use your own backing plates.
- Compatible with the stock torque arm only. Currently two aftermarket companies are making heavy duty torque arms, though they didn't say who??
- All other after market suspension components will bolt up.
- 40-spline gun drilled axles are available for the super-hardcore racers, but only can be used with spools and lockers (no Tru-Trac).

And the last issue...

I asked about putting together a group purchase. They said it needs to be done through a distributer of Strange Engineering. So we can not get a group rate unless a sponser picks up on this.

ANY TAKERS!!!

Looks like BMR is one of the companys already making an arm for it....(see above posts)

BTW SJM gives discounts on strange products to customers who buy, or who have bought, their wheels. Otherwise you pay the price posted on their site.

I'm hopeing BMR will volunter the information on this specific torque arm, and any other product they have lined up for the S60. I expect this will be the "Rear end of choice" for many.

I've never bought anything through SJM so I wouldn't be able to get their discount rate, but if they would put together a group purchase it would make alot of people happy!!

Autorama is this weekend in Detroit and I heard there will be a F-body Dana 60 on display. I have pricing but I want to inspect it myself before releasing it to customers.

I will see what we can put together. We did the install of the first unit for them and it was very nice. The rearend fit like OEM.

sit tight

god, i love the internet.

so tell me. how do you know this again? also for many racers like myself, the extra 20+ over a 12 bolt is a bunch. how is gear selection for this rear? better than a 12 bolt but not as good as a 9"

All of our torque arms will work with the S60 except for the non adjustable. We have a modified torque arm bracket that will allow the arm to be as close as possible to the differential giving the most room possible in the tunnel for clearance. As for any other products we will have to wait and see...
