Yeah I have the heads pulled. One of the lifters exploded, that plastic tray they sit in is cracked, and the cam is wiped. Still have to pull the oil pan, and then I'll pull the cam out. I guess atleast it'll be better than before when I get it all fixed up. Best time to upgrade and now I'll know what it has done to it.

ethan- swap your refering to is a 1-7 swap, but that is to change the firing order of the #1 and #7 cylinder(torque yield). but switching coils..... tht has me thinking

wizard- i got stock anything if you need something. cam, lifters ect. def. change oil and filter once u get it goin again.

Wizard, it's excellent that you found the issue. When the time comes, measure for required pushrod length during the new set up install. There are tutorials in the internal section or if you have trouble finding one, I'll get you a link. Am relatively sure that the lifter failed due to improper pushrod length, too long. Once you have the new length measured, am sure that one of us (probably Bob) will have that length in a set, to give you. Just let us know.

Screw Honda!!!! So I am trying to sell my 95 civic. A friend of mine is coming over to check it out and it won't start!!! This thing started when we put it in the garage this winter and now its warm and won't. So put a new battery in. It also has a new distributor and rotor and plugs. So it has always idle rough so i pulled the valve cover to check the valvetrain. Everything seemed to be in order. Then when I put the VC back on I broke a bolt. FUCK ME!!!!! 600 Bones and anyone takes it. I'm tired of having this car sitting around here.

How well did they work the first time? I would never consider using a certain length pushrod without first measuring. It's impossible to know for sure without measuring. A knowledgable engine builder would never guess @ a pushrod length. Must be measured.
