bob- i dont think it hurt the ring gear even though it was whining ever since the qs&l meet in columbus. Hopefully the problem was just that it isnt vented properly and thats why the diff fluid was blowing out the left seal and diff cover. Im actually surprised they didnt black flag me, but I am going to take it apart this afternoon and see what it looks like.

So it seems I broke a bolt head off on my truck and now have a annoying tick until the motor warms up and expands to seal it off. Anyone know know how hard it is to pull a LQ4 head and pull the threaded portion out. Are the bolts torque to yield on these heads too?

Sorry not a head bolt... Its a exhaust manifold bolt. So the tick is a exhaust leak.
