No, I want to run the exhaust all the way out the back. Don't really care if it's over or under the axle. I don't plan on lowering the car at all. Also I do have a welder, and I don't want mufflers of any kind. Just Lt's to an X pipe and then out the back. How's that sound to you guys?

i used dynomax bullet mufflers. so its a little tame at idle yet wide open at wot

Louder the better for me, but would like to keep the loud outside the car. And if it does turn out to be too loud, I can always throw some bullets on it. 3in full exhaust too much for a stock ls1?

no, wizard if i were you, id buy your headers and y pipe, then buy a used cat-back, easiest way to do it, and probobly about the same cost, maybe less. used catbacks can be had for 2-300, i would put some type of muffler on it tho, i took my muffler off once to clean and stuff and drove it to see what id would sound like, it sounds deep under load but cackles and sounds hillbilly most the time.

I have a lt's into a y pipe, no cat, and then magnaflow out the back (for when I want it quiet) and an electronic exhaust cutout at the why, just after the headers, and opens up and the flip of a (hidden) switch (for when I want it to sound awesome ;D)

Thanks for the advice Bob, I do have a flowmaster catback on it right now, 3inch, So maybe just get the headers a nice ORY and hook it up to the flowmaster catback???

thats how my car was at first. loud as shit at wot. but it wasnt enough for me. so i built the true duals. i made mine for less than 200. and i have a bunch of piping left from other stuff ive done. how about we meet up sometime before the dyno day and you can hear it in person and then you can decide from there.
