Hsv w427

I bet, the cost of getting the vehicle here and making it legal here would be almost as much as the car.

If you like the way the Commodores or HSV's look then buy a G8 and then swap all the body parts with some one over here who has an Commodore or HSV!
A lot of guys over here like the way the Pontiacs look so that would be a cheap way of doing it. If not then buy all the body parts from Holden.

It would be cheaper and easier to buy an American G8 GXP, import the bodywork and interior of the W427 (or just go with the VE GTS parts, which I actually like better), and drop in a crate LS7.
I'm actually debating right now over which car to replace my WS6 with this winter. It's going to be either a C6Z or a G8 GXP and the necessary parts to convert it to an HSV GTS. On one hand I really want the kickass-ness of the C6Z, but on the other hand I want seating for four and something really original. Decisions.

and someone said something about emissions. but isnt australia a lot more strick on emissions. that is why like the 05 gto over here was like 400 horse and yours was like 3?? somthing
#26
that's because all your 05 & 06 GTO's had LS2's and only our HSV Monaro's had LS2's and the rest had LS1's

Depended on the variant.
The Holden Monaro had ~310hp originally, but HSV also sold up to a 400hp version of the LS1 (it was a Callaway engine).
As for emissions, Australia is a little more lenient than the US, but not by much. The biggest thing in Australia, is you don't have to do any "smog" checks in any state, all you have to do is do some inspections to prove the car is safe to drive.
If you wanted this vehicle in the US, it would be easiest to just get a second hand G8, and put an LS7/clutch/transmission in it out of a crashed Z06.

G8 + HSV + Z06 = W427
Getting the HSV bodykit all the way over there might cost a bit though but At least you would have a unique car!

Just in case I'm confused, when you say right hand drive do you mean the side of the road your driving on or the side of the car that the driver's position is?
Over here when we say right or left hand drive we are usually referring to the driver's position in the car.
#32
over here we mean samething. i would like to sit in right side of car and drive. always wanted a right hand drive. and your right the g8 is on the correct side for america. but i like my stuff different. so i wanted a aussie car

i know it goes by states etc... but over here, im not sure exactly, but if u get pulled up and they look at your motor and see a turbo with no permits, ( which is next to impossible to get ) thats it, take it all off before u can drive again etc...
do u guys have states where they will / wont allow it?
