O yes, its pretty awesome. I guess they figured, "Well if the stupid Americans have the LS3 in theirs, we have to put an LS7 in ours!" haha. They have some cool vehicles over there.

i wish i could order them to pluck a g8 base from the assembly line and mod it for me. I dont see why not. Sure, only 427 are being made but technically, it wouldnt be aholden and wouldnt stray away from it. I love it. When i go to sydney, im hunting one down for sure. Anyone notice the price? $150,000+ so you could buy this or two ZO6's. Maybe thats why they wont come over here lol

While the W427 is a pretty cool car for us. I'd rather a Z06 or even a ZR1 isn't a stretch for the money HSV is asking for them. Only 200 are being built too. But don't be surprised if the LS7 finds its way into another model over here.. Or even better **** it off and use the LS9.

The 427 was only ever going to be a MAX build and they couldn't quite cut it so it fell well short.
Only Grey Import Vettes here. GM has never officially exported them here in RHD or anywhere as far as I know.

I am in love with the Holden line from GM. The Sportwagon SS-V is probably my favorite "daily driver" car but I have to give it to you Aussies... The HSV cars are just plain and simple BADASS!!!! I just wish I could get a Holden over here. Problem I am afraid of is getting it to pass emissions or safety inspections over here. If it would pass then I would have the trouble of paying for the car and shipping. By the time I would pay for a v6 holden and ship it here I might as well buy a Z06 vette.

probably more than that! haha
I am also in love with the Holden cars. The G8s we get here are boring compared the Commodores over there. And since the W427 probably wont happen, the car i wish i could import would be the HSV Clubsport R8. So awesome!

My boss has one of these now! A black one, it cost him $163k to get it on the road. For a stock car it's very impressive to drive.

I can't seem to post any pics! Sorry I'm still new to the forum!

There is a few pics on the Pro Auto website (www.proauto.com.au).

Just go into the performance section then click on the drop down menu that's labelled "Performance" and click on "Pro Auto Cars" and its in there under Pro 427.

It was on the dyno at the time and they had the front bumper off because they were checking out the factory OTR for possible mods. It pulled 400 RWHP in stock trim and gained 35 RWHP from a tune alone.

only 400 rwhp? do they tune the LS7 in this car to be slightly less powerful than in the corvette? I'm pretty sure Z06s put down 450ish to the wheels dont they?

They dont measure in Horsepower, over there its i think kilowatts? He may have his conversion wrong. No way for $150,000 you get a g8 gxp powered 427. It may be a little detuned but then again its Australia, no ZO6 to compete with (which is why we always see detuning-to simply make the corvette look better), so it may be in full blown mode lol.

KW divided by 0.7457 = HP
and reverse
HP divided by 1.341 = KW

so

ls7=505 calimed horsepower = 376 KW? Maybe he just meant 400kw instead of HP
