Default We're going again

We'll be leaving St. Louis tomorrow afternoon for Nashville. Should grab a nice shaddy spot for the arrival of all cars on Tuesday afternoon. We'll join the caravan for the trip to Indy on Wednesday, then head home on Thursday.

Shortest trip for me in quite a few years, but thankful to squeeze in some time.

Looking forward to my second year of A/C and LS3.

Default Lap around Indy

1st power tour...son and i. got back from Indy ....the 5th stop on the tour. all was great till we got on the track for a 1 lap in our cars. I almost ran out of gas....had 1/4 tank.... because we never went anywhere. never did get out of 1st gear till the last turn.....maybe tops 50mph.
only reason son and i went to Indy for...to take a lap around the track.

very dissappointed to say the least. (lap around Indy)

We thought it sucked. Bash me if you want, but, am entitled to an opinion.

-Registration was a few miles from the event
-Rain
-We were under the impression that there was to be a cruise & there was not
-Guy on stage spouting off about how anyone who was not a long hauler is crap
-We can see & experience vendors & similar cars locally. No reason to go

Waist of time, hotel room & cash

The wife and I are home from Power Tour early. Had a great time (except for the freakin' heat!), until yesterday.

Traveling from Indy to Muskegon, we were passing through the small town of Lakeville, IN. A kid in a 98 Camry going the opposite direction on the 4 lane, side swiped a car, spun out of control into on-coming traffic and guess who he hit. Yeah, us. No one was hurt, although my wife is pretty sore today and bruised from the seat belt and airbag, but the car you see in my signature is probably totaled. I have a couple pics that I'll try to get posted later.

Power Tour was awesome, but yesterday was not a good day for us.

Here are the two pics I have of my car at the scene of the accident.

I also want to give a very big "Thank You!" to my fellow Power Tour members who stopped to help with the accident. Thank you to the gentleman who let my wife sit in your Corvette so she could compose herself, before the ambulance arrived. Thank you to the gentlemen who directed traffic around my disabled car. And thank you to the gentleman who gave the police his statement as to what he saw as he witnessed the entire accident unfold. All of you guys are awesome and I want you to know you have my deepest appreciation for what you did. Again, THANK YOU!!
