Texas Plates out in the UK?? Awesome!

So when you take your car over to the UK do you have to get a new plate?

You can keep stateside plates for 30 days, after that it has to be Taxed and MOT'd (inspection) legal by then...

well the only thing really is the lights
has to flash amber at front and rears thats the main thing but good bit for you having a car over 10 years ol you only need a mot then you can get your apply for your uk plates

were if it was younger then 10 years you need a sva test witch is harder then a mot

so money wise its all a case of what your running now and who tests it red flashing turn lights on the rear should fail but my old 79 trans am had them way i see it is thats how it was made and never been pulled over yet

I can get you with a guy where you wont have to have the guys on base HACK your wiring all up to pass an inspection. The base charges something like $250 for the conversion, but when you get back you have to get it wired back up. I'm in the middle of it now on my Camaro, and they did a terrible job of it. My T/A on the other hand is good, no ghetto wiring, stock light colors. However, if you are caught, you are going to have to take the wrap.

Well, the TMO will give you a packet about shipping your car. In that packet, it will have the shipping company's name, their number and their location.

You will have to call them to get an appointment to set up for inspection and have them to ship it.

They will tell you to bring: copy of orders, title if you own the car, insurance-registration and if applicable a letter of authorization to ship the car overseas from your lien holder.

Clean the car inside out and don't have any loose or unsecured things hanging around or inside the car.

Have every nook and cranny inspected with you ie under, top, side, back and front of the car. They will annotate everything you and the inspector notice about your car.

GL.
