Hi,
My name's Pete and I stay in Broughty Ferry in Scotland. I am building a pro street Morris Minor (possibly the first with LS1 power), and have just taken delivery of a 1998 LS1 engine package from the US (waited 3 months for it to arrive).
This engine is replacing a Ford 351C that i initially intended to use, so I am in the process of adapting the LS1 to fit.
I'm sure I'll have loads of specific questions to ask as I go through the build, but for now, here's some pics of what i'm up to.
Pete
My LS1 engine arrived at last:
Stripping unwanted stuff from engine
On Hoist
Sitting in correct orientation for trial fitting on chassis
Going in
It fits
Back under shell
Side view - engine isn't very tall, so should be able to keep bonnet brace
Engine from my other Minor - should sit about the same position, but lower
