Wow i test drove an 04 the same color before i got my car, might would have bought it if the dealership didnt want an arm and a leg for it. That color looks awesome on mach ones. I like the black wheels too. Welcome to the site. O and a few months ago i got conned into helping a buddy put some LT headers on his 03 GT, not much fun, I still have scars from it. Anyway looks like u plan on pulling the motor so u shouldnt have trouble with that. Nice car good luck with the mods, keep us posted.

I never really did understand why so many gm fans dislike ford. guess it's a longtime rivalry. I mean, we all have the same particular thing in common... domestic muscle! but you're more than welcome to learn how awesome our lsx motors are haha.
anyways. have fun with that project. sounds like it'll be one awesome car. I noticed on another ls1 website that a guy was selling a 6xx rwhp/tq turbo'd Mach & it was absolutely pure evil.

Hey new to the site. Dont have a Ls but my buddy on here (SPLATT) has a bad a$$ 02 firehawk. Love the Ls series was gonna try and get a Ls1 swaped somethin in the next few months, but its way cheaper for me to throw a blower on the mach. So thats whats gonna happen. Tons of great info on here (even for a ford guy). Lookin foward to hearing what some of you all have to say.
love it, the mustang owners still come to this site just cuz its so RAD!! welcome bud

I love the mach 1's. theres a guy here in ca, his s orange and was at the pinks filming at infineon w/ a big aed sticker on the back window. forged AED motor w/ a kenne bell, making just over 600 wheel on only 15psi if I remember correct. car went high 10's@13x something with a solid axle swap! I gotta say I like the dsg better. nice car and welcome!

hey man nice car..i would litterally give my left nut for an unmolested 03-04 cobra...i dont care what any of these GM nutswingers on here say...they are badass..mach 1's are sick also..there's a guy running around here with a white one..and i'm not sure what he's got done to it, but when he rips on that thing i swear it sounds like he's spinning that thing to about 8K rpm...it sounds insane

Thanks I really didnt know that she had a forged crank in her. That will save me a lil bit of money when its time to forge the bottom end. unfortunatly it will be a while before it is done(july or august 09) due to time and the military says so.

There's a dark grey/near black 03' Mach 1 for sale in AZ that I might go and look at tomorrow.
A Mach 1 or an 03/04 Cobra are about the only two mustangs I would buy.
I love the way Mach 1's sound with exhaust on them, they sound unbelievably good. I know they have an all aluminum block with the SVT heads I believe, but I am not sure how durable they are transmission wise. I know the motor can handle a lot of power and is fairly durable. And for a stock V8 6800 rpm redline is damn good considering it came out just five years ago.
Can anyone comment on the 5 spd transmissions on these things, and if there are any problems with the mach 1's in general? Because if I like what I see tomorrow, I might end up getting one if the price is good.
EDIT: And can anyone tell me if the Mach 1 engines are underrated as well? I kept hearing from mags and sites that the engine is rated at 305hp but puts out between 275-290rwhp.
