The intake was on the car as I have seen plenty. Not saying it was an LS6 motor, heads etc. But did infact have an LS6 intake. Unless they made an LS1 intake without egr? Or Vettes didn't have EGR, and in that case people would look for a non egr LS1 intake to upgrade from their regular LS1 intake with the godawful EGR. I will say I only saw those intakes on 2000 model up Vettes as the 97-99 looked identical to the F-bods.

Well it is a manual DD. I am a strip vs street kind of gal. Just seen to many car loves messed up from street racing. I go on fun runs with my group, but tend to stay back vs getting in and having someone slam into the back of me. LOL I just ran last night (still stock) and got a 13.50 @ 106.44. I also have 460 compound tires on now since I drive so far to work and home. I am a little worried about doing to much to her since she does have 87K on the motor already. But any ideas and help would be great! Thanks and pics should be up! haha
My suggestions would be for you to add power, increase fuel economy, and maintain stock drivability / reliability. You probably say to good to be true but several people have done it.
You could simply maintain your stock cam, but pretty much change everything else out. Add LS6 heads with a tiny amount milled for increased compression, but not much (cheap hp). LS6 intake (more cheap hp) VaraRam CAI (you already mentioned, good idea) ASP UD pully, and Meziere EWP. Also consider American Racing's 1 3/4 headers, and if you want to scare people with your exhaust note add some B&B bullets !!! Very loud, actually I had them and swapped to the LGM big 3 for the increased flow since I went stroker. If you'd like to add a cam, then do like someone else said and stick a baby 224 in there and add Hardened PR's and new appropriate valvesprings. Feel free to PM me if you need any explanation on this or if you have any other questions. Last but not least welcome to the board !!

Welcome to the board. It looks like most of the info was already covered here, but if you did decide to go with a bigger cam, because it is a daily driver I would go with the 224. With all the bolt-ons, the thing will be cam limited.
...and I was promised photos?!?
