Default Gday, newby here

Gday everyone,

My name is Cam, 24 yo from Australia. Thought id join up your forum cos it rocks haha. Nah seriously you yanks know your LS motors for sure so im here to learn all i can.

My car is a 2002 HSV Maloo R8. LS1, T56, HSV spec 3.7 diff. Mods i have done so far is 1 3/4 Difilippo headers, 100 cpsi 3" cats and dual 3" Difilippo cat back, Mafless tune and OTR. Dyno'd at 325 hp at the wheels. Goes like a cut snake being a ute. Next step is looking at putting a cam in it (rods and springs too obviously, oh and a upgraded the clutch, this one is already slipping haha)

Ive had a quick squiz and there seems to be heaps and heaps of info on here so ive got a lot of reading to do haha.

Cheers all

Thanks for the response fellas.

davorocks - yer its lowered a little mate, ride is pretty good considering. It gets bad axle tramp when you give it some so ive got some stiffer bushes going in and maybe some koni or KYB shocks for some extra dampening in the rear end.

thought id give you americans some updates on the aussie ute.

fitted comp camshaft, pac 1518 springs, comp hitech rods, 25% udp and textralia clutch / rip shifter, ended up with 385 rwhp. goes very nicely now and sounds tough as.

some updated pics.
