New kid in Tn... lookin for my first f-body
Hey this is Todd from Nashville area Tn. I'm gettin my license in April and I'm looking forward to (hopefully) getting a Formula or T/A. I don't know if I'll be able to afford the almighty LS1... but I'll settle for an LT1 bird or even Camaro if the price is right. I'm just looking forward to making it "my" car and making it look sharp... no 22"s and bling for me though. Just clean wheels tint and some motor mods so I can be the fastest at my school... which will be proven at the track... of course

I started off with an 87 Iroc-z and loved it and then moved on to a 91 z28, and now I am on my Ls1. I am from SC, but anytime I look for a new car I always check GA, and NC. A good deal is well worth a couple hours drive.

youd be surprised how cheap some ls1 f-bodies are going. im starting to see high mileage ls1's for under $5k every once in a while. But the lt1 isnt bad at all either. Ive got one and its tons of fun. Especially since it sounds like it can kick some major *** with its chambered exhaust. And of course my next car will hopefully be an ls1. You cant go wrong with either and welcome to the site

Chattanooga guy here, but the USAF says I gotta stay in Arkansas for awhile!. What others have said, you can get an LS1 at a good price now for sure. Due to these new muscle cars coming out, it's harder to sell an 10+ yr old car. I bought my first 97 WS6 clone for 4700, eventually swapped in an LS1 motor. Bought my 01 2 years later. My 01 came from New Jersey, so just search LS1tech classifieds. A great car is worth shipping.

I remember back in high school when I had my 94 Formula.. Fun times! LOL! Always fun opening a can on fellow class mates who would talk ****. I didnt have much competition though. The second fastest car was a stock 94 Z vert.
Good luck in the search!

There are great deals everywhere. My brother just bought a '99 Firehawk for 5k locally. I think the best deals are on local forums. Around here people adjust their selling price for what the cars usually sell for. Instead of the seller being dead set on his car being the best around and try to sell it for what it was booking when new. Lol
good luck with the search.

Thanks for the welcome's and kind words. I think if I found an LS1 for under 5 my dad would me out alittle.
What do I need to look for in a high mileage LS1 car? I don't want a turd but if its just going to need tuneup + other little things thats no problems.
