There is no room for imports in my life either. I don't care if they are modded, fast, slow, expensive, cheap, etc. I don't like how they look or sound, doesn't matter how fast they are, not my style at all. It's a different part of the hobby that I just don't appreciate in any way.

Welcome to ls1tech Gina. Your sibling advised you to the right forum for your new toy ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
I think you wanna say that you love push-rod v8's (OHV) versus overhead cam engines (OHC). F-body's were made in Mexico. It is an......................import.
Some BMW's, toyota's and other cars we consider as imports are actually made in the
USA.
I think the term "Z" truely belongs with Datsun aka Nissan.

What F-body do you have that was made in mexico?
All 4th gens were assembled in Canada; 3rd gens were built in Van Nuys, CA and Norwood, OH. 1st and 2nd gens were also assembled in the US. None were ever assembled in mexico.
1st-4th generation Firebird/Camaro/Trans Am are domestic nameplate vehicles that belong to a domestic based company with domestic powertrain and platform designs, even the Canadian-assembled 4th gens. Virtually all cars built today contain parts and/or assmebly that come from more than one country, so this is unavoidable (even my '71, which was built in Willow Run, MI in 1970, has an original radiator that came from Canada).
