Default New guy from NM

Hows it going guys. The name is Daniel. I'm a constant lurker, but i figured i would just login now. I drive a 98 T/A. I bought it a few months ago for 2k. So far i've rebuilt the a4 transmission with EVERY upgrade and update possible. It has pacesetter headers, ORY and shitty flowmasters. The paint was shitty. She is now in primer stage, getting ready for paint. Now i'm just debating on efilive or hptuners, and finish installing my nitrous wiring.

Not bad for 3k total invested. Proper time slips coming soon.

Here is some pictures of the progress from day 1 til now.

and a quick video...

Welcome! Nice ride especially for price! How did you get the wheels to look aluminum? Did you sand the black paint off and polish them or just buy new ones? Looks good regardless.

The kid i bought it from painted the wheels black. All i did was take the paint off. They haven't been polished yet. I'm planning on selling them to a co-worker in order to pick up some staggered c5 Deep Dishes.

Nice work so far! What part of NM? I was raised in Las Cruces and moved to Florida when I joined the military.

How's the F-body scene there? I haven't been back in 9 years...

Did you use rattle cans to prime the car?

Sorry for the late response's.

To juSStin4171 The F-body scene here is very lacking, unorganized. Its mostly a mustang town. I did rattle can it with premix 2k primer, its not the best. I just got tired of the multicolor hood and peeling clear coat. It will be re-sanded and black 2k primer applied, then painted John deer blitz black. I am selling the wheels to pick up some Summit Warrior R/T's with Futura GLS Super Sport 295/50/15. Dont hate me on the tires, but they hook well down here and are dirt cheap.

To Mr. Trick, i'm thinking you are around Tor C or Socorro area.
How do you like the Wait4Me tune, I'm planning a new engine build, and dont want to spend 5-700 for tuning software.

Hey another NM guy. I live in Albuquerque so not to far. Up there the fbody group is way better than down there. Some meets and fun car events to go to. I am sure it will look awesome when you finish painting it.

I come thru the Duke every once in a while. On my way to and from Denver. I want that Evil looking look. The menacing look. I want the 6LE front splitter, and diffuser. Thats the only exterior accessories i think it needs.
