Default My new WS6

Picked up my first LS powered F-body. This is my 5th F-body, all previous were LT1 powered. The vehicle itself is a 1998 Trans Am Factory WS6 6-Speed with 29k. Black exterior & charcoal leather interior. You may wonder why the LS6 motor has been put in at only 29K, the factory one cracked a lifter tray and the lifter ate up the cam and gouged up the lifter alley. Also damaged the crank trigger wheel.

Engine- LS6 Longblock, Texas Speed 228R Cam 112LSA, LS7 Lifters, LS2 Lifter Trays, 7.400" Hardened Chromoly Pushrods, Stock 243 Heads, ARP Head bolts, PRC .650" Dual Valve Spring Kit, Titanium Retainers, Trunion Upgraded Rockers, Melling High Press Oil Pump, LS2 Timing Chain, SLP UD Pulley, LS6 Intake, Ported TB, SLP 85mm MAF, SLP BlackWing Air Lid & Filter, Prothane Motor Mounts

Exhaust- Kooks Long Tube Headers, Kooks Catted Y-Pipe, Kooks o2 Sensor Extensions, Borla Cat-Back Exhaust(No Plate)

Transmission- Monster Stage 2 Clutch & Flywheel, ARP Flywheel & Press Plate Bolts, Tick Adj Master Cylinder

Rear- Motive Orange Box 4:10's, AAM Diff Cover

Suspension- Koni DA Shocks, 1LE Springs, SLP Boxed Weld In SFC, Hotchkis Strut Brace, Founders Lower Control Arms & LCA Relocator Brackets, Panhard Bar Relocator kit & On Car Adj Panhard Bar, UMI 32mm Front and 22mm Rear Swaybars, Umi Tunnel Mount Torque Arm

Brakes- C5 Z06 Front and Rear Brake Upgrade, Earls Stainless Braided Brake Lines

Exterior- AFS ZR1 17x9.5 & 17x11 Black Wheels, Nitto NT555 275-40-17 & 315-35-17 Tires, 35th Anny CETA Tail Light Center & WS6 Badge, 5% Tint

Here are a few photo's of the car, ill be getting better shots when the vehicle is properly detailed.

ENJOY

Clean ride man. I just picked up a 99 black on black 6 spd with only 47k miles. Love the black ones. Hard to keep clean though! Need to get a good duster.

Ellsworth- Thanks, yeah black has to be my favorite pick for most sports cars.

LS1CALIBOY- Thanks, seen your thread, car is almost a twin to mine. Love the all blacked out look you got going on. I am thinking of doing some all black Fikse wheels in the near future.

Roarin_8-Thanks, i usually don't discuss price, unless im selling something.

LPE_WS6-Thanks on the kind words, i know what you mean about keeping them clean. Especially the back bumper with those 315's out back. But its the price you pay for having a Batmobile.

Raoul-Duke- Thanks a lot

Beautiful. I always thought that the Borla tips were butt ugly when I saw pictures online. But after actually seeing what they look like on your car they're not bad at all. They actually look pretty good. Good luck on your never ending quest to keep that pretty thing clean lol. One thing I love about pewter is that part is easy

Thanx, those Fiske would look killer on your car. I'm actually wanting to go with a set TTII's Black with polished lips. Gotta do some other mods tho before I change rims...

Fourth-Gen Man- Thanks, yeah the Borla isn't that bad. I really like the tone of the exhaust. In terms of tips i would say hands down the best looking exhaust on a T/A has got to be the Corsa.

SMKE EM- Thanks on the comment

LS1CALIBOY- Torq Thrust II's would look killer with painted centers.
My ideal look for my car would be either some Fikse FM10(like the pic below) or the FM5's in all black.

Holy crap, that car looks cool. That's photoshopped to be that low right? Otherwise if it was really that low I think the y-pipe would be dragging on the ground.
