Default Help me decide! Please!

I have been away from the f-body scene for a while. I found 2 that I like but need some input on making the right choice. This will be more of a project car, not looking to spend too much but I don't wanna make a bad pick.

The first of the two is a 2000 ws6, 140k miles on the body and 25k on the motor. pretty stock except for exhaust. Silver with black interior and an m6. Lowered a bit with z06 wheels. I can probably get it for around $5000 or $5500. looks decent.

The second is a 94 z28 with 64k miles m6. It's got a 383 stroker, with a powerdyne blower at 4psi, headers, exhaust and all supporting mods. Garaged it whole life, like new condition. looks stock, so it's the perfect sleeper. 7k is the price.

I have heard nothing really positive about the blower brand and I don't know if i can just invest the 2k into the ls1 and make it just as fast.

Please help! I have to decide by this weekend!

Thanks guys.

Well it's a project car that you are looking for and you don't wanna spend too much. The WS6 might be a better pick because the 94 has pretty much everything done to it. The plus on the Camaro is that it has been well taken care of. But if you are wanting your own project imo the WS6 is the way to go in this case. But you've seen both cars and you know what you like it's really up to you....good luck though..

I do like the look of the ws6, and the price of course. The thing about the camaro is that its in perfect condition, inside and out. I heard that theres a lot of issues with optispark and a few other things in the lt1's. I also wants something that isn't gonna die on me, the ls1 has high miles on some components.

Just because a car has more miles doesn't mean it's not going to be reliable. I'd rather take a 150k ls1 that's been maintained than one with 50k owned by a 17 year old Vin Diesel wannabe.

I'd go with the WS6. Not much of a "project car" if it's already built

For sure go with the ws6. There's nothing wrong with lt1's at all, but the ls1 is a better platform. Much easier to work on, generally less issues, respond better to mods.

And just like everyone else said its not a project car if its already done..

id buy the 94, theres something to be said about 80k less miles of abuse. the engine might be done but the rest of the chassis is sporting 140k miles. Then again im the guy that will rid a vehicle before it rolls 100k, it can go be someone elses headache. 94 is a sleeker looking car too IMO, the opti is not nearly as big of an issue on the LT1 as its blown up to be, i tend to find the biggest group of opti haters/lt1 issues are actually LS1 owners. go with the perfect condition car, projects suck, theres still plenty to wrench on, why not start with a good platform. you will spend way more than the 1500 dollar price difference in the long run trying to make the ws6 in the same perfect shape the camaro is in.....and at the end of the day you will still have a high mile car......

Well after much though and talks with my buddy in Cali who has a corvette done by Cunningham. I looked at a different trans am and bought it. Its a 99 ws6 with an ls6 swap with a ms3 cam. 139K on the body and around 50k on the motor. It was actually owned by another member here, not sure what his SN is. It's flat white pearl with a nice ws1 mod hood, Ill post some pics. The only downside.... the interior needs some serious attention. Pretty much everything has to be re-done, but it's a project so I guess I got what i was looking for haha. It's quite a bit faster than the other stock ws6 I had a few years back. I LOVE IT ALREADY THOUGH!
