Default New Member 64 cutlass project

Hi y'all. I'm working on an lq4/4l80e swap in a 64 cutlass post. I've gained tremendous knowledge from the resources on the ls1tech forums throughout the process and just wanted to see if anyone else is working on or has completed a 64-65 cutlass, GTO, skylark, or Chevelle swap.

Thanks!

Nice car. I did the swap on a 70 Buick GS, basically the same car, little bigger.

Beautiful car mate! I've got a contrarian appreciation for all BOP cars myself

A little update. Had to reevaluate the TBSS intake manifold as it was quite clearly not going to fit under the hood with the current engine mount configuration. That led down the proverbial slippery slope of sorting out accessories, crank pulleys, intake, and fuel system modifications.

I've also decided the most elegant solution for the shifting arrangement is to retrofit a 67-69 floor shifter and console which can be used with a shiftworks adapter kit for the 4l80e. Hopefully someone in the future finds this helpful; don't hesitate to reach out of you have any questions regarding this particular application!

I like that you did it in Olds gold. In my Formula's previous incarnation, I painted the engine Pontiac blue.

A bit of a tongue in cheek I suppose; the olds fellas aren't very LS friendly sometimes. LS blocks look beautiful in Pontiac blue!
