Okay, sorry if I sound retarded, but how about "fernco" I've seen it a couple of times and am totally confused (as always). By the way, great thread. It really helps me out

Fernco is a company that makes pipe couplers, which are sold at Home Depot. Some people use them as a cheap alternative to an SLP smooth bellows ($50 vs $5).

There is a risk of cracking an aftermarket lid, but a good number of people do manage to use it without problems. Smooth bellows doesn't really make any difference on performance, but people like it for appearance.

Yep, the Plymouth Laser is a DSM car... The Plymouth Laser, Eagle Talon, and Mitsubishi Eclipse were 'sisters'.

DSM only consisted of 1989-1994 (production years) of Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser, and Mitsubishi Galant vr-4. The 3000GT/Stealth had nothing to do with DSM. DSM (Diamond Star Motors) built all of there vehicles FOR mitsu/chrysler out of a plant in Normal Illinios. Technically the 2g's (second gens, theres an acronym for ya) aren't DSMs because they are manufactured by the "mother companies" were as the true DSMs were a product of DSM, sold as eclipse/talon.etc etc
