New guy...short intro
New guy...short intro I've been a lurker for awhile and now have decided to "go legit".
Some interesting things about me...I am over 50, an electrical engineer, and I have been building cars since before I was old enough to drive them. My interests are customs and hot rods and anything hi-tech that will make them perform like a late model car. I have a 1950 Mercury lead sled with '94 ZR1 front and rear suspensions and a 2002 LS1 engine/trans. I have a few LS6 engines that I am building for a 1935 Chevy 5W coupe and a 34 Ford 3W coupe (just as soon as the Merc is finished). I hope that I have something to offer the group because I am sure that I will be learining something as well...

sweet! some nice conversions going on there! well welcome to the club! there's a special forum down a bit thats all about ls1/6 conversions and such and im sure alot of people would love to read about that stuff! Welcome to the site!

welcome to the board! i've been getting more and more into the customs and hot rods the more i learn about cars in general over the last year or so(i'm relatively new to the whole culture)......i've got a 1970 electra that i'm going to be starting on shortly, it looks like i'll be trying an airride suspension on a ford 9 rear end and when i get to the engine, i'm thinking about using efi on the 455(or whatever it ends up growing to) and maybe some forced induction.....i think i'm gonna keep the looks fairly classic, but i really like a lot of the customs, like what you're working on! i'm sure everyone will be very interested in your project(s)....
