Hi boys and girls! Long ago hotrodder but I'm new to the whole F-Body/LS1 thing. Since seeing the first Ram Air in 1998 I've desperatley wanted one. However, child support obligations have always put the damper on my need for a "toy."
Welp, 1 week ago today, I became the proud owner of the 1999 Formula pictured below. There are some things I need to both add and remove from the car but that won't happen until the NorthEast gets a reprieve from the horrendous weather we're having.
Anyway, I see LOTS and LOTS of great info here and I really appreciate all of you experts taking the time to share your knowledge. Hopefully, as time goes by, you'll find me a worthy member of the site.
Current Mods: Complete Loudmouth setup, Mecham tips, SLP Ram Air Hood (functioning), Wingswest Ground Effects, K&N, MTI, etc.
Planned: Tint, stereo, 17" or 18" wheels, possibly remove the ground effects and change exhaust tips. Eventually I hope to get a cam and good set of heads on it.

Hey everyone, thanks for the welcome, compliments and opinions.
I decided today that come spring, the ground effects are going. At first I liked them but as time goes on, I am realizing how slick the car looks without them. The additional wing will probably stay and the hood without question will forever be latched to my car.![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
Now to figure out how to remove them without screwing up the car. I have no clue how these things are mounted.
Nice car and nice angle Ramair99... course I am partial. :p

removing them might be an issue. there was a thread about the camaro ground effects. there will be about 8-10 holes that will need to be filled on each side by under the doors. as for the front/rear, id imagine about the same.

Hey nice car and a nice way to get into LS1's. You planning on dropping it down a little ?? They look much better with a 1-2 inch drop IMO, but anyway nice car and welcome to the site

Welcome to the site, and I'm glad you are removing the ground effects from that clean Formula. They look so much sleeker without that stuff, here is my previous blue Formula: https://ls1tech.com/NineBall.html

Loose the effects on th front. You can use 3M flexible plastic repair to fill the holes, then prime and paint. Easy fix. PM if you need part numbers, or help. Nice car.

Thanks again for all of the compliments and opinions. ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
Racehead... I might drop it down an inch but that will be later in it's life. First a stereo and then either some wide 17's or 18's.
Nine Ball... WOW, that car is gorgeous! Is it the same color as mine or a bit lighter? I have no sunny pics of mine yet as there has been little sun in the Northeast here. I like the wheels. Looks like the sizes I want on my Formy.
Muffracing.... when spring gets here and I am ready to go, I'll start a new thread asking for help removing them if I can't figure it out.
A couple of questions...
Exaclty what is the difference between a Formula and a T/A? Is it just the extra external and interior differences? (hood, leather, etc.)
If I take the front Ground effects off, I suppose that means they all have to come off?
Anyone think the wing is too much? Myself and some others happen to like it but I am always open to opinions. Here are a few more shots of the car.
