Default New here!

I just wanted to say hi. I've been into f-bodys since before I could drive. My first car was a 1984 Z28 carb 305 (16.9 @ 79 mph stock). Then upgraded to a 1987 Trans Am GTA TPI 350 (15.2 @ 90mph stock). After that I got a 1994 Trans Am (13.33 @ 104mph bolt-ons/drag radials). It was red with t-tops, definitally one of my favorite cars ever. I would have never gotten rid of it, but an incident with a deer ended my time with that car. Then I bought my current 1993 TA. I modded it and started fixing it up a bit until I decided that I needed something in better shape to drive around and cruise with. I bought my 2002 Z28 and love everything about it. I bought the Grand Prix as a nice daily/winter driver. I basically plan on finishing up the Z28 with a mild heads and cam package and hopefully run a high 11. Then I want to throw a few bolt-ons at the Grand Prix to try and run a high 14 (just enough to be faster than my GTA was, lol). After all that's done (hopefully within a year), I want to start building the TA up to be a nasty straight line street/strip car. Somewhat streetable, and hopefully 10's in the 1/4.

Also, I'm a chevy mechanic (only for a couple years) so I can pretty much do all my own work, which saves me a bunch of $$.

Hope to talk to all you guys soon, from what I hear, this is the ultimate website to learn about our cars!

Hey Joel, I'm RedScreaminMachine over on fbody.com. How's it going? Keep up the good work with the shop!

RDISADEIFAN, I know what you mean about the transmission's being crap. Same transmission in the Impala's and Monte Carlo's and they crap out even without mods. LOL I was thinking about the turbo kit, but reliability and gas prices (get to use 87 octane now) are keeping me away from it. Like I said, a couple bolt-ons and a high 14 second pass and I'll be happy.
