another newb

Hi all
I am just getting into the official ls1 crowd with my soon to be 98 formula and I am just here to find out all I can and have others help me with the questions and when the time comes I will have video for you all. But my biggest question or concern right now is that I live in the mountains and the average altitude is roughly 6-7000 feet and I am curious what intake and exhaust mods would help reduce the loss of Hp due to the altitude and any other cheap mods would be great too.
Also I am new to this so please don't make fun what is the diff beween a ls1 and a ls6 internally. I know the ls6 has a bigger intake manifold but anything else I don't know?
