Default Greetings from Sweden

Hi,

I'm a 25-year old muscle car fanatic living in Sweden. I currently own one black -97 WS6 M6 and one silver -00 WS6 M6. I won't keep the LS1 for long though as I'm going to concentrate on the LT1 and maybe try and import the 05 GTO instead.

Really love this forum and all the knowledge gathered in here. I'm hoping to get some help with the setup on my LT1...

If You haven't been to Sweden and experienced the back roads, You must! They are all excellent, with almost no traffic and no cops. Swedish cops use standard issue Volvos and SAABs so mostly we just outrun them.

Other than that, Sweden have WAY to many ricers and BMWs.

Thanks for a great forum!

/Anders

Welcome! The LT1 can definitely be a contender when done right. Better grab an '05 GTO while you can. This is the last year for the GTOs.

No way am I letting my husband go to that country again. He almost broke his neck trying to keep an eye on all the beautiful women he saw there. I can just see him trying to drive at the same time.

Thanks alot!

Yeah Sweden is quite good for a carfanatic (and the women are gorgeous... I know).

Anyone of You coming to Sweden, just tell me and I'll show some really good roads.

/Anders (Americans just call me Andrew whenever I go there...)

Welcome! Make sure not to sell your TA to a ricer, then muscle will turn to rice in Sweden, lol.

Thanks alot,

really warm reception for a carforum (have some examples where noone replies before Your 100th post or something).

The reason I'm keeping the LT1 is just question of taste. I just like the charachter och that engine better. Trust me I have tested both in every way and will always say that the LS1 is the faster engine (perhaps not better...)

And No way am I selling it to a ricer here in Sweden. I have very high demands on the buyer to take care of it (like driving it like he stole it, always crushing rice (evil?) where he sees it).

So the LS1 will partly fund my LT1 upgrades

We had a girl from Uppsala come and stay with us when our twins were born in 86 and return for a stay in 89. We've always wanted to get over there. Enjoy your Pontiac muscle!

Thank You very much, Yeah right now our hockey team are really great but usually they just suck (unlike our Ladies hockey team (Olympic Bronze medal)).

But I have to admit that one of the reasons I watched the olympic this year was the US curling ladies team (Although Sweden won the gold medal there to).

Yeah, if You wan't to experience really inspiring roads just give me a PM or something and book Your planetickets to Sweden.

Welcome to the site! I am pretty new to the board here myself. I have seen several posts from Sweden, seems like you guys have good taste in cars. How difficult is it to get parts and service for American cars there?

LS1s aren't exactly hard to find parts for but it's really expensive. LT1s are easier and cheaper to buy parts to. I order parts to an adress in FL and then ship the parts to Sweden myself (Much easier and cheaper)

TransAms are scarce and vastly outnumbered by Camaros and Mustangs but the TransAm owners are extremely well organized and always show up in large numbers on meets and events. Check out http://www.tacs.nu unfortunately it's in Swedish... But still.
