Just purchased a Silver '02 WS6 Immaculate shape. My dad has a 1979 TA with 37,000 miles on it now I have my bird... Mine is a tad bit faster.. Any one from the Pittsburgh area???

I have one pic... weather isn't great up here yet. I don't want it out on the road till we get about 5-6 good rains to clean all the salt.
I am going to Start with the mods very soon. I want to hang with my buddy and his 04 Cobra. Plus I want a great sound... where should I start? a Lind and a catback seems like the overwhelming favorite. I won't be making it to the track... just want it to be street fast... I will only put about 4,000 miles a year on it. Any help would be appreciated!

Auto or Stick? A lid is the usual first mod, along with a K&N or similar filter. Doesn't matter for the most part whiuch one, just would depend on your taste. If your buddys Cobra is stock, Longtubes and full exhaust are a must. A tune wouldn't hurt either. If your a stick a Clutch would be a good idea, or a stall. If you have an auto, the auto guys would know which one to get, I don't have a clue. If your friend has a not so stock Cobra, Heads and Cam would be up next.

 

Unfortunately his is not stock and I don't neet to be around 400 HP but it would be nice. too much money to dump into a car I have for a beach car. that is the only reason i bought it. well that and I have always wanted one.
I want it to sound great and look good. it is the silver paint and not too keen on the stock WS6 wheels. I am thinking gunmetal grey or black wheels. what do you all think?
I have the M6 tranny. is that the T56?? Now since my divorce i actually have pretty sufficient funds for playing with my new toy. If I would just go with the lid and the cat back, what kind of increases am I looking at? I need to have emissions which sucks but it is what it is. Should I do a free flowing cat as well? i definitely want the two tip look coming out of each side. Don't want it to be obnoxious, just right ya know...

 

With a lid and CB, your #'s depend on what it does bone stock. I'd guess if it dyno's 305-310 stock to some where in the 320 range with a lid and CB. Lid LT's and a CB your looking at about 330-340.

 

ok a lid is a lid... but any idea on what LT's and catback I should get... I don't want it to be obnoxious, but I would like people to know when I start my car. I would also like to get as much performance out of it that I can, (was I Capt'n Obvious with that). I actually like the sound of the V8 on www.borla.com How are Bassani exhausts???

A few more questions... what type of oil and tranny fluid should I be running. also what about the rearend fluid? that will be the first thing I do. get all the fluids changed. one nice thing is I am still under warranty till the end of 2007 or 50,000 miles. I think I will see the end of 2007 first..

I would also like a True DD set up.. i believe the performance will be the best out of those. does that mean I need some LT's.. I also have to worry about emissions being that i live close to a major city. I want everyhting to be leagl... maybe a high flowing cat is needed. or are there whole systems meaning headers cats and cb that i can buy...?

and btw, no long tube headers are going to be legal. so if you buy them you my as well go ***** to the wall on illegal exhaust, such as no cats etc. and if you are looking at shorty headers, just don't. lol.
