But I have nothing against them, besides the fact they are missing a few valves....lol
I'm a 20y.o. old punk in the Engineering school at Oklahoma State Univ (Specifically majoring in Fire Protection and Safety Technology). I don't want to go into the automotive engineering field professionally, as I think I'll lose the intesest in doing it for fun. So I am aspiring to be a police officer, as I really enjoy the concept of emergency response. I work for OSU Police/Parking/Public Safety, and will gradulate in another 2 years. I am here because I like the technical discussions.
At 16 I built my own equal length headers for my Lumina Z34 (Sold). I am beginning an engine swap into my Fiero, a 3.4l DOHC V6 that was found in the Lumina Z34s, and eventually it will get custom headers as well, along with a fully independent throttle body intake that I will build (already have the actual throttle bodies, need to build a lower intake/adapter, airbox, and everything else).
I have owned Lumina Z34s for a while now, and finally figured out that a Mid engine, RWD 2800lb sport's car is cooler than a 3400lb FWD grocery getter. So I went out on a limb, cut a few checks, and ended up with a 1988 GT 5-speed and a 3.4l DOHC crate engine.

Oh, I do have a few small block Chevy's (Almost sad to say). My Dad drives a 1998 Chevy truck with a 5.7l. We also have a 1955 Bel Air 2-door post that I hand built a 406ci small block for. It has 9:1 compression, iron heads with 2.02/1.60 valves, a mild cam, Mighty Demon 750 carb, full MSD ignition, and a Weind blower. It moves ok with the 4-speed stick, I can pull 2 car lengths on a LS6 Corvette, but I want more out of it. When I win the lottery I'd like to build a 434cid aluminum block motor with Arao heads, the biggest cam Comp can make, a TWM Induction intake, and some nice headers. This will probably never happen though.

If anyone is still reading, they need to be laid. Badly. I also built a 2.4l 4 cylinder for a freind's 1997 Cavalier after he blew up the first one. Forged crank, removed balance shafts, forged H-beam rods, forged alum pistons at 8.5:1, W41 Q4 HO cams, Q4 HO Intake, stainless steel turbo manifold, a Garrett GT30r dual ball bearing turbocharger, aluminum flywheel, Spec III clutch, and a Megasquirt ECU. Dyno tuning/numbers this summer.

I also never said I could blow the doors off a LS1. In fact, if I could match a stock LS1 I'd be more than happy because I honestly don't think it will happen. I figure if I'm going to be hangin around here, I may as well introduce myself. Not everyone here has to own a LS1.
As I said, I've got nothing against them. A very high potential, reliable, and high performing negine for sure. Just not my cup of tea in a Fiero, because it doesn't exactly "bolt in." We had a 94 Z28 M6 for a while, that was a decent car, I enjoyed the LT1 6-speed combo, and wouldn't mind owning a 2002ish SS Camaro, but for now I'll live with what I have. It does have a LS1 throttle body

How do you know I've never been laid, been trying to get my sloppy seconds or what?
Nice car nhra, pretty much identical to mine, except I choose to show off my rock-chipped to hell front end...lol. Mine still physically has the 2.8, but not for long, it's on the death row of heart surgeries, with the 3.4 waiting inline. Very soon, May 8th to be exact.

I've also got another Fidanza 8lb flywheel, do I have to send this with the clutch?

Please do.
I'd outline my plan to take down mustangs with my car, but taking down mustangs isn't that big a deal in these parts.
Unless it's a mustang with $20000 in mods.

Hello. Thought I'd chime in as well, seeing as I too, need to get laid.
Nice pics. I also am planing a heart transplant. Already got the donor car. Now i need the donor motor. Good luck in your endeavors!
Welcome to tech.

Stanger88, you may need to learn how to read. I never said I would woop LS1s. In fact I plainly said I'd be totally satisfied if my car could hold even with a stock LS1. I didn't post this to brag on my ability to swap a 15 year old V6 into a 20 year old Pontiac, I posted it because if I am going to be posting in Tech, it would be beneficial for others to know who I am, what I drive, and where my biases lie.
