New Girl From Dayton, Ohio
hi!! i'm new to the sight and wanted to interduce myself. my name is samantha. i'm from dayton, ohio. pretty boring!!! i drive a 01 transam ws6, and it's black. i've had my car a couple months now. i took it to the track and ran a 13.09, stock. just a little more curious about my car and if anyone know specifics on my engine, gears, hp, etc. i know a bit, but keep hearing different things from different people. thought i might ask a few of you guys. figured you might know a little more than some others that drive a different kind of car, and try to tell me about mine and are totally off. and my car is a stick. if that helps with the gears. so if anyone can help, i'd appriciate it. i also read that the ram air models are actually 350 hp not 325 like GM advertised. just wondering also on that. it's at this link.

hope to hear from you guys, and girls. thanks!!!

Dunno if your car is stock to run that 1/4 mile time. It's been done, but not by novices at the track.
Is it an automatic or a manual? If it's an auto it might have a torque converter.
Some pics of the engine bay might help us figure out if it is modded.
In any event, nice track times and sweet car.

Or maybe she can just plain drive. Awesome time; welcome to the site. Look up the specs on the 'Vette model of the same year (I think it is 350bhp and 375ftlb) and that will be how much power your engine makes. An ls1 is an ls1. If yours is a stick then it would come stock with 3.42 gears. Oh, and don't let someone stuck in the '60s tell you your car is a 350. It is a 346 and make sure you correct them.

If you see a car that looks exactly like yours with a Firehawk hood, that's me.

Welcome and nice times. I am sure with the right air and a good run 13.09 in a stocker is possible... there are some factory freak cars out there that dyno'd the advertised flywheel horsepower stock!

I witnessed one of my club memebers run a 12.98 with a backup 12.99 run (both in the 108.XXmph range) in a 100% stock (including tires) '02 WS6 w/ auto trans. I've also seen a '99 SS w/ auto trans run the the 13.1X range stock.
