I'm a girl!!! Bwahahahahah!!! Just joking! I am not a chick! Far from it! But I figured the title would attract a lot of viewers... No? LOL!
Anyway, what’s up everybody! I’ve lurked here for YEARS! I guess it’s time to finally sign up… My name is Travis, I live in Houston, and I bought an 03 Z06 not too long ago. Before, I used to drive turbo imports! hehe… The Z06 is a cool, fun, & new project for me. I bought it with the sole intention to one day beat up on Supras! So far it has been a blast. With the few bolt ons it has, it is incredibly fast. But, to make it even better, I ordered a turbo kit (STS) last week! Hopefully it will all be ready to go here shortly. Anyway, cool forum! Sorry it took me so long to sign up!
BTW, I post as “Morpheus” on many other forums… I’ve been getting tired of the name… “Caged_Animal” sounds cooler! LOL!
Here are some pics + additional info on the car!
My first trip to the track… Intake only. 26 K miles on the stock tires made it tough to hook! It was fun though!
New tires solved the traction problem but unfortunately, I have not been back since. Long drive, long lines, etc… Deserted roads and industrial areas in the middle of the night are more to my liking!
Soon after, I bought a few upgrades. LG long tubes (cat-less), crank pulley, spark plug wires, and a custom tune. It was good for 392 whp and 378 ft-lbs / torque. A gain of about 30 whp and torque… The numbers were not insane, but the car seemed to haul *****!
With the addition of drag radials, it hooked unbelievably well. This along with power shifting made the car seem waaay faster than it should be...
Here’s an awesome vid made by “G-Z06” (Garrett) a while back. I’m the blue C5 Z06 known as “Morpheus.” There are a few good runs with a white C5 (auto) on a 150 shot, a stock C6 Z06, Turbo Porsche, and a few others. Copy and paste the link and then click “switch to windows media player.” **Note – I do not condone the Porsche maneuver!!!**

Well, after power shifting waaaay too often, I blew out my clutch, as well as a good chunk of the tranny! From here I went with a spec clutch and an upgraded tranny from MTI.
That’s how the car stands for now. The turbo kit should be here sometime in the next few days!

I watched that video - and was amazed at three things
1.) Where the heck do you guys the get the cash for these rides
2.) That close call with that silver car
3.) THAT FREAKEN CLOSE CALL WITH THAT SILVER CAR
That's why people get killed. If the people making their street videos want to die, that's their choice, but the guy who almost gets rear-ended I don't think was even involved in anyway.
I too was in that same situation, where some idiot almost hit me, and the car infront of me - missed by inches - because he was street racing - and this was in a hospital zone at 40kph - around a blind corner.
I love the whole car scene, and I have made some great friends - however, like anything, there is always that idiot pushing the limit, and usually end up causing grief for a lot of people.
Anyway, welcome to forums man! You have one sweet ride!

Ha! The leg is doing good. Definitely mobile and should be back to softball and such in about three more months. I can not get back to playing rugby until about 5 to 6 months.
And yes, I carry the Ban Hammer at this joint
Time to strap that STS kit and head back to the Texas Mile too

However, I can say that no one else in the group has EVER done anything even remotely close... I guess we all do dumb stuff from time to time... Why he did that, I’ll never know...
