Those guys need to get laid or something and do it quick. This type of stuff is ridiculous and embarassing to the rest of the userbase of LS1TECH that a handful of men that act like they're 16 years old dominate this section. It sure as hell makes this site look like a place full of dirty old perverts when a female car enthusiast can't even say hello without some ******* dumbass asking her for pics of herself the second post in. Leghumping has pissed me off ever since I became a mod, I wish it was a bannable offense. I think that's a big reason why we have so few female users on this site. I'd like to hear something from the female regulars here like Gearhed, Zangel, Keliente, or the rest of the girls that visit here regularly. Maybe it doesn't bother them as much as it does me.

Damn right. I don't think my little girl will be getting a camaro if **** like this keeps going on. I think there are other sites to look at when looking for hot chicks with cars. You might want to go check out the lowrider or import sites. I think they have chicks on there. No offense to the lowrider or import enthusiasts.

 

I agree that this is becoming a pattern. And I dont doubt that some of the posters are guys acting like girls. I recall reading a thread a couple days ago with some guy who got his girlfriend with a ******* vw beetle to join the site and they were just posting back and forth. What a waste of the sites already limited storage space.

 

I agree with Vendetta on everything except about the age range she mentions..

Isn't it possible that the majority of the guys acting like 16yr olds ARE in fact 16yr olds?

I don't understand why the finger pointing to the older members of the board and referring to them as "old perverts"...I might have missed something (like the actual ages of the "offenders") but,most of the probs I see on the boards (not just this one and not just F-body boards) are by the younger guys (NOT ALL but unfortunately MOST.)

I myself do find it "extra interesting" when the enthusiasts are female because in all honesty,there are NOT as many women in the hobby as there are men.Its refreshing and to tell you the truth,I have noticed that many times (for some unknown reason) women seem to have a different approach to things that men don't.They get thier problems solved in ways that men never think of.I like that.

Another thing to think about.Why do some women seem to feel a need to "announce" that they are "female","new GIRL"...etc

Seems to me that at least SOME of those members are looking for people to take note of thier gender and the attention they get is not exactly un-welcomed.I thought we were all just "car people"??

I myself will always pay more attention to a female member having a problem with her car.For the fact that I think this hobby NEEDS more female enthusiasts and would hate to have someone just getting into the hobby to get frustrated and drop out over nothing.

Now,there are those female members who have posted pics and happen to be very attractive.I'm married,I'm not dead.Of course I will notice thier looks if its been thrown out to look at.

To say I wouldn't notice a nice looking female member is like saying that our female members don't notice any of our male members..(heh,that sounded wierd... )

Female or male,if you can appreciate a nice car...your OK in my book.

hell, if it was up to me i'd scrap this whole section or move it to SSU. personally i dont see then need to announce that you've got **** and a vagina. post pics of your car or that your interested in the LS motors and then join the tech sections and use the site for its intended purpose.
