New user here.... Hello all, found this site through a google search and liked what I was reading. I have an '01 Corvette and my wife has a '95 Firebird. I will more than likely be hitting a few people up for some ideas on fixing hers up. I want to supprise her when she gets back from Iraq (we are both in the Army).

You may want to check Miltary Hotrod forum to locate other military, some of what they have found when ordering parts from the sandbox or once home. Its also good to find others that live close to your base stateside.
There are plenty of forums for you and your wife to get some great information from, when you have a little down time check them out.

Wow, talk about a warm welcome! Thanks for all the great posts here on this thread. I will definately be talking to a few of you about future ideas that I have for both cars.
If there is something specific that comes to mind and you have little time on the computer, post it here and I'll link it to the forums that may help you the most.

1. I want to fix up the body (lots of dings and paint chipping).
2. Redo the the interior (seats, radio, dash).
3. More than likely replace the engine also (has a V6 in it now with 130k miles on it).
4. Replace the suspension.
I know it would be easier (and maybe cheaper!!!) to just replace the car, but damn she loves it! Thanks Gearhead, and everyone else for any ideas on it!
