Hello from Ohio newbie

I've been lurking for a while. Lots of great info here. I thought it was time to say hello and show my current and old bird. The current bird is a 2000 formula TA. I got it last march and it's like new. Unfortunately its currently in the shop getting a rebuilt M6 with some upgrades. I missed 3rd gear at the track and have had trouble since. It still ran a 13.89 @ 103.4 with the stock 3.42's. I can't wait to try the 4.10's.

The old bird is a 1978 TA. The pic is of the car on the first day it was driven. I wish I still had that car...

Welcome, my neighbor is restoring a 78 TA just like yours, but those cars don't stand a chance against an LS1.

The 78 TA 400cid engine had around 180 HP stock. To add insult to injury, mine had an A3. But it did have a nice suspension. It outhandled the 'vette. A friend has a 77 Bandit TA he bought 25 years ago. He repainted it 10 years ago. He even hand painted the pin stripes, birds, and lettering himself. It's beautiful! It was on the Nov. '05 "Car Collector" cover.
