Def. BADASS. My buddy has one he is just finishing now, it's the same kit you are building, although he put a 5.0 motor in it. I like yours better

WELCOME! Why no longtubes?? It looks like you have plenty of room, and you can still use your cats if needed. Does the steering shaft, or something else I'm not seeing get in the way? Just curious.

Cats are still in place, want the back pressure... long tubes?? ( do you mean side pipes?) the steering has a second UJ to dodge the engine. everything else fits a treat! loads of room.

Long Tubes = exhaust manifolds. Stock ones are "shorties", then you have "midlength" (like I do: see sig) and "Long Tubes", If you plan forced induction or serious camshaft, mid length headers are a MUST. Otherwise, stockers will restict your power....

P.S GO Manchester United. I hope Kuszczak will get a chance as a goalie....Yes, I'm Polish too in case you wonder

ARRR i see no, long tubes wont fit inside the chassis. its very very tight as it is. i plan to buy GARDNER DOUGLAS headers when i upgrade engine bits. (the make them specialy for the engine and chassis, fit and flow a treat.

MANU ???

Nice looking car

Where abouts are you in MK? I'm only down the road in Leighton Buzzard?

Once you've got it up and running well have to go and run the cars on the A5, although you'll totally kick my ****. Same power but less weight

There's a few American car parts places in Bedford, they pretty good for simple things like filters and such. But are pretty useless for any "performance" as they charge about double what it would cost you to do import the items on their own.

Personally I've found Texas Speed & Performance very helpful along with Exotic Performance Plus and Thunder Racing. They are all sponsors on this website. Importing is pretty easy, just remember the shippings cost are the real pain in the butt, along with the 17.5% VAT to add onto the price.

Cool Would def be up for that.

When do you think you'll have it on the road?

Oh year what colour are you painting it? Really love the Cobra replica's, the originals are nice, but the modern chassis and better engines are way better from a performance point of view. I was so tempted to get a kit myself, I'd narrowed it down the the GD and the Dax, but decided to stick with the z/28 instead.

Gimme couplw of months and it should be done, going to try and get it ready for a track at brungtinthrope for the end of the month (sept).

Dax is no where near the GD.... chassis design and build qulity its second to none!! leaving the body in gel coat for now, GD gel is amazing and very often mistaken for paint. check out www.gd-owners.co.uk (members gallery)

you should pop along to the brungthingthrope track day. there will be loads of GD cobras and T70 spyders with LS 7's!

regards

Sounds good with me, end of Sept would be good actually as I've only recently recovered from a back injuary so I'm having to take it easy in the car.

I agree about the Dax compared to the GD though. Had a good butchers at them at the kit car show in Donnington last year.

Laters.
