Hello, new to the site.

I'm new to the site and to the LS1 world in general. I was able to get a 2000 Z28 with only 27k miles for really cheap but it came in automatic. I was wondering if I should convert to manual or leave it as is. Anyway Nice to meet you all.

keep the auto. it will be faster. I just put a 4400 stall converter in mine. its just as fun as the manual.

Welcome....if you think you want an M6 then buy a car with it already in it, don't convert it....but for track purposes your A4 will be a lot more consistent.....again welcome

Yeah, i know! It was a sweet deal, and all it was missing was a coolant cap which i replaced from a junked lt1 at U-Pull-It.

Welcome, and as far as converting the car to a 6speed. it is all in what you want to accomplish. I have a 6speed, and I like it b/c I like to drive stick. now in traffic it does suck, but chicks dig stick cars. I dunno why, but that is what they tell me. also you can put all that money into mods to make the car faster. I mean you will proly spend close to 3k on parts an labor(if you dont do it yourself) figure that is a nice stall, and a decent heads cam package.
