Thumbs up Finally bought a real car

So i just got my first real job after graduating college with Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes... and I decided it was time to leave the hondas behind and get a real car. In the search for a new car my cousin (who told me about this site) put this deal in front of me that I couldnt pass up. I've always been an import guy.. owned a few hondas.. an audi.. nothing really special.. just basic mods for autocross and some fun on the street.. here is my '99 Civic Si that I drove for almost 5 years..

But its time to move on.. cuz lets face it.. i bought a honda cuz i couldnt afford anything better.. haha.. car was cheap.. mods were cheap.. gas was cheap.. it worked... but now i've moved on to this:

its a 1999 Z28.. it was built by someone in new york.. and done very well from what i can tell so far. I've been lurking on the boards for a few weeks and i can tell there is a ton of info on here I can use.. anyways.. thats my story..

oh yea.. and i just moved to Columbia, South Carolina.. seems like a pretty cool place so far.. lookin for some stuff to do.. anyone from around this area?

i'm pretty sure the spoiler is an SLP... but the info i have on the car is somewhat limited.. i'm finding new stuff every day..

here's what i DO know.. it has a weiand intake manifold, bbk 80mm throttle body, granatelli mass air sensor and air lid, mac mid-length headers and y-pipe, high flow cats, borla tunable cat back, moser 12 bolt rear end, 373 gears, comp cams pushrods roller rockers and springs, NOS dry shot w/ purge kit and bottle warmer, stall converter, fully rebuilt trans with what he calls "every possible upgrade"... what that really means i dont know.. also has tubular torque arms, tubular lower trailing arms, adjustable panhard bar, rk sport lowering springs, hood is an SLP ultra z with functional ram air, autometer guages.. boost (well.. just shows vacuume for now).. oil temp, trans temp, fuel pressure and nitrous pressure

You did well grasshoppa!!! Looks like you have some aftermarket trim on the dash and an aftermarket gauge panel. Looks very nice, now just get rid of that LS1 decal on the sides!!!

Your Service Engine Light is on too, you should address that issue first. Mine was on when I bought my t/a. I thought it was a bad o2 sensor (which both of them were) but when the light started flashing, I realized I was misfiring.
Congrats on the 'camaro. I too had jap fever, moved up from an acura cl-s when I could finally afford the insurance.

Great looking car, it would look 100% better without the LS1 huge sticker on the sides though.

I believe that's the 96-97 style SS spoiler.

And another vote to ditch the LS1 stickers.

No, that is not an SLP spolier. It almost looks like an LT1 SS spoiler:

...but you can see the lines of the SLP LT1 SS wing is alot more smooth and flows with the lines better. IMHO

I agree with Tony, ditch that huge *** sticker. Looks like rice to me. But then slap some LS1TECH.com stickers on your back window on the sides!

Also, please ditch the billet grille, and the fog lights behind them. Looks waaay out of place IMHO.

All in all, congrats on your new ride man! It does look sweet, just some little things I would change but no biggie great car overall.

Peace,
Craig.

P.S. - Fix that "SES" light I see on!
