how many gears does an automatic WS6 have? What is the horsepower on a 2001 Ram Air? 325 or 350? Also how many gears does an automatic WS6 have? What should an auto WS6 run 1/4. How can I make the an Automatic pull like a Manual Transmission
4 gears Its a 4l60e trans. They were rated at 325 hp. If its completelty stock it should run mid-high 13 seconds. I seems like you are new to this so the first mods I would suggest to you would be an intake lid and a programer. The programer is pretty much useless for a 6 speed trans, but for your auto you will really notice a difference because it will change your shift points and the shift firmness

First of all, this should have been posted in 'Newbie Tech', but its cool, now you know.
You should put down anywhere from 290-315 rwhp(rear-wheel hp, different than crank hp)
If you are completely stock, you should run mid to high 13's at the track.
Don't worry about 'makin your auto pull like a manual trans.' In no time at all, manuals will be a thing of the past for you. Well, that is as soon as you put in a 3000-3500 stall, a shift kit, and a trans cooler.
edit: don't waste your money on a handheld programmer. If you want to tune something, save your money and get efilive or hptuners.
btw, you will probably want to spend a lot of time on this site before you make any kind of purchases. Good Luck.

I would highly advise driving with the traction control on, these cars are very powerful.......

Yea, seriously spend a LOT of time on this site before you spend a dime. It will be the best mod you do, hands down. Ask anything and everything you want because there will be several people on this site who know the answers and you can find volumes of invaluable information using the search. One of the best pieces of advice is to figure out your longterm goal for the car and plan your mods accordingly.
Naw.. don't thro wout the A4 and 10 bolt.. some people have luck with them and others dont.. mine didn't give out till i had head and cam on my car... just put on good tranny coolers and a shift kit.. heat is the biggest problem that i found for mine.. i never broke any parts pulling 1.6 60 ft times.. and that was on a stock 10 bolt.. only thing i had problems with on that was the carrier bearings.. i also put 3.42 gears in also.. seemed like it was holding up well at the time.. but for how long.. ya never know? strip shift kit, good 3,000 + stall, trans cooler, itd be a good idea to get a new trans mount as well... changing the rear end gear will also help you get more pull if thats what your wanting. http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...34643f7a1f087e
