What mods do you have and is it auto or 5-speed??

A 5-speed with full bolt ons should be in the mid 14's at least...

Maybe somethings wrong with your car.

more like high 13's. ive owned a 5.0 with 306, 5spd, 4:10, UD pulleys, smog delete, and full exhaust and i pulled 14.5@91 with a 2.23 60' with 4th jumping in and out so i shifted to 5th . i could have pulled 13's out of the car. with the 4:10's and the tremec 3550 i could go from a dig but from a roll it was mean.

something is seriously wrong with ur car or ur driving. its one or the other. It's not the car that makes the driver, its the driver that makes the car!!

an 87-93 5.0 hatch 5spd with full suspension mods and full bolt ons and DR will dig into the 12's

as in crate u mean a stock 302 with crapy explorer heads, huge cam, and a great intake. the heads and that cam isnt that great of a combo for a 302
i would say if u would of went with GT40's not the p's and a E303 or F303 cam u would would have been more pleased(dont mean to sound like an ***)

I dont compare a LT1/LS1 car to a 5.0 there is a big diff there. ford does better with small CI's and GM is better with big CI's.

Easy man, damn LOL. I agree that his time is slow, but so was yours. I'm not going to bash your old car( even tho you do LOL) but just because you had a bad experience with your car does not make all Mustangs ****. I read some of your old posts under your old name and you had alot of diff. issues with that car, and that would make anybody resent it. They are not equal to LS1s stock, or even lightly modded, but they are a different kind of car, and even NA 2 valves can be made hella fast. There are several NA stock internal 2 valve GTs in my area that can take a stock LS1, maybe even a light bolt-on car. There are even more Fox bodys, although they usually have a cam atleast. It takes more money than with an LSX engine, but once the aftermarket comes into play, all bets are off. And who knows his idea of a "modded 5.0" could be exhaust, in which case that time would be about right.

I agree, it seems that BLKWS.6's Mustang had kind of a weird matching of parts. With better heads, a different cam and 3.55s/3.73s with good tires he would have had a much better '60 and 1/4 time.

My lifted 4x4 toyota pickup with bigger tires can beat that. Don't take me too seriously I'm just giving you crap...welcome to ls1tech.

When I was young and not so bright I had several 14 and 15 second cars (mustang, shelby charger turbo, probe gt, 3.5 maxima, v6 accord, my truck) that I wasted money on and thought they were fast...it really opened up my eyes when I rode in my buddies 11 second car about 10 years back. Now I look at cars differently:

16 second car...average family car

14 second car...starting to get entertaining

12 second car...man this kicks a$$

10 second car...scary fast (does this even belong on the street)
