Default New to the f-body world

I bought my 01 Z28 last sunday (new years eve day) with 10k miles on the clock. i knew at the time of purchase that it had magnaflow cartback, it wasnt til after i bought it that i noticed the:
Granatelli crossmember
Granatelli control arms
Granatelli red mass air flow sensor
Granatelli panhard rod
Granatelli subframe connectors
Granatelli g-load brace
Granatelli lowering springs
Granatelli upper engine brace
and
Granatelli autographed air lid

plus the door sill is also autographed.

the day i bought the car i swapped the air lid for a full K&N intake, and this weekend i put in clear corners and MSD wires. let me know what you think.

i wrote an email to granatelli to inquire about the car and J.R. Granatelli himself wrote back saying that he remembers this car. he said that it was built for Matco tools as a special job and he did the work himself. He gave me his phone number and said to call him with any questions about the car.

i assume that some internal engine work has been done because ive beat C5 vettes off the line and i keep up with srt8 chargers.

There is a possibility you dont have any engine work done. Ls1 F-bodies have been known to take out c5s and srt8s even in stock form. But sweet find.

thanks. well this engine wont stay stock for long. after i get my bilsteins im doing a c5 caliper swap with braided hoses and drilled rotors/hawk pads, then im going for more speed.

my goal is to be faster than my brother in law who drives an LS2 CTS-V.

ditch the K&N and get a lid and SSRA or FTRA. there is a reason you dont see the K&N equipped F-bodies out numbering the lid/ram air equipped ones.

All I have is off-road pipes, and a cut-out. Haven' t lost to a stock C5 yet. The 01 and 02 cars have a little more bottom-end, due to a different intake and cam. My 97 V6 Camaro had the capability to hole-shot a 98-00 LS1, but wouldn' t have a prayer against the 01-02 cars. Is your car an A4 or M6? From what I' ve seen, you should be able to beat your bro-in-law now, if he' s stock. I haven' t run any CTS-V's, but have beaten a couple LS2 GTO's. You got that bra!

thanks, its an a4 unfortunately. i was looking for an M6, but i took this gem when i saw it.

these parts came in today,i know only cosmetic stuff, but im still excited.

i know that the lighting is bad, but the pics of it all on the car will be much better. i also got 6 lED 194 ambers for the clear corners in the pics, and some 3154 LEDs (like lots of LEDS in them) are on their way, will be here by friday.
