Hello from Knoxville Tennessee
New to LS1's and to LS1TECH. Been playing with imports, decided to try domestic. Just bought a 2001 Pewter Trans Am. Love the car, Unfortunately just discovered I have a rear main leaking.(about $650 at a dealer) Oh well, My Mitsubishi Eclipse GT would not do a doughnut like this. So screw it. Let the Mods begin. Ordered a K&N filter and a Borla catback today. Haven't decided if I want to go normally aspired or an STS Turbo. Will try to post pics as I go.

Welcome to the boards. These guys on here can be very helpful. You picked a good car the 01 an 02 LS1's have a little stronger motor than the previous years. Is it a auto or manual? A little off subject but are you a UT fan? I am a season ticket holder just wondering. Happy Modding!!

What I meant was that the 01 an 02 have the LS6 intake from the factory an they tend to dyno a little higher from what I have seen. This is just based on what I have seen but I am sure that there are some pre 01's that put down some very good stock numbers.

Hey, twpayne75, Welcome to the board! This is a GREAT site. I've learned a lot since I've been a member. BTW, we're neighbors. I'm in West Knox. (Farragut) You may have seen me around if you've spent anytime between Cedar Bluff and Turkey Creek. This is my SS: Picture ***** Alert!
Don't forget to post some pics of your ride. Oh, and one more thing, Go Vols! (Spring practice is just about a month away! )

What color is your SS AnimalSS? I've seen a White One and Red one around town but that's it. We all need to meet up sometime and look at each others cars. I didn't know we had so many LS1 owners around here, all I ever see are corvettes and mustangs.
