Default Personal Cannonball Run!

OK, so as of Monday I will venture out from North Carolina on the way to California. I have to be out there for recruiter's school in San Diego by the following week and thought I would suprise my mother for her brthday on Sunday the 4th. I was figuring I would throw it out to everyone here that I would like to meet some of you fellow LS1Tech-ers in my travels. My route takes me through Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, top of Texas (Amarillo area), New Mexico and Arizona. Please let me know if you have some time to meet up for a dinner or something or even what cities are the best to see and spend a little time looking around in. And hey if any of you want to put me up a night I wouldn't be opposed to saving some hotel money either. Will be posting this thread in regional specific forums as well.

I am shooting out directly on the I-40 and am hoping for at least 600 miles a day. That would put me in Arkansas Tuesday night.

Looks like the time in AZ will be well spent. My sister actually lives in Chandler, is that nearby?

Don't know when you will be in Oklahoma, but OKGMP is having a track night at Thunder Valley Raceway March 2nd. It's in Noble, about a 30 min drive south of OKC.

I was flagged by the HRST when we were in Iraq and it is the fastest way back to CA and 29 Palms so I didn't fight it too much. My kids need to be their grandparents and I need to stay as far away from Lejeune and humidity as best I can.

I hear that man...I was blessed with never having to go east. Other than the far east and middle east which is still better than Lejeune. LOL
