Default New guy from Chicago - '97 SS *Pics*

Hey guys,

Ive been surfing this site along with CamaroZ28,MFBA,LS1,ex. for the past couple of years. I have found this site to be VERY informational. Everyone on here seems to be very helpful to one another. A long time ago I purchased a '94 Camaro back on my 18th b-day and I owned that for about 6 yrs. I have been looking for a "pristine/low mileage/stock" 96-97 SS for about 2 yrs. I absolutely love the look of LT1 SS's. I finally found one back in Nov. '06 in Columbus, OH. It was about a 14 hour, one day trip from Chicago and back, but it was well worth it. Below is a little info. on the car...

1997
Camaro SS #2296
Purchased mileage - 19,131 miles
Current mileage - 19,760ish miles
Color - Red (Side mirrors & Top - Black)
GM Opt. - All power opt.,Leather,12-disk CD,T-Top’s
SLP Opt. - Performance Exhaust,Torsen,Bilstein,Floor mats,Car cover
Inside/Outside condition - Honestly, it looks brand new!

I am the 3rd owner of this car. The first two owners took exceptional care of this SS. I have the window sticker and SLP sticker(laminated),all SLP stickers on both inside doors, both key fobs, exc. Anyway, thats a little background on my new car. I figured since I have another camaro now, I should join this site. Looking forward to having many of my questions answered Also, I have pics. of the SS, but I cant figure out how to post the darn things. As soon as I figure it out, I'll get some up.

Chris

*Sweet... I got the pics. to work. Thanks for the help*

you need to host the pictures first somewhere such as photobucket. then when you want to post them click on insert image when typing your reply. when the screen pops up insert the url of the photo.

Welcome, from one low mileage showcar owner to another!

That SS is beautiful! Hope to see it at some local shows.

Do you have a webpage for the car? Or any more pics? I'd love to check it out further.

Thanks for the comments. I only have a few pics of the car. The weather here has been crapy for the past couple of months. I live in the western suburbs.... Downers Grove to be exact.

Helluva find! I've got a framed BF Goodrich poster of your exact car, red '97 SS. You should get one for yourself. Welcome to the site!

Thanks for all of the positive feedback Yes, I am going to leave it stock. I want it to be faster, and I also want to add the black “camaro” inserts on the back bumper. But, I figured since it is 100% stock right now and the mileage is low, I would just leave it alone.

Yeah, I'd leave it alone too if i had another car to abuse (you still have the '94, right?).

Let's see some interior, engine bay, and rear-view pics!

I no longer have the '94 camaro, it was sold about 2 1/2 years ago. I added a few more pics as requested. I went out in the garage and snapped a couple of the interior and engine bay. I have yet to clean either one since I bought the car, but they were pretty clean when I bought it. I havnt figured out how to make these pics smaller, sorry.
