Default switched over from mustangs

well, after 6 years of having alot of mustangs ive made the switch.what i thought where quick cars only left me looking at the back of a ls1.anyway,i sold all the ford ****,bought a super clean 97 z28 a4.only mods are the thermostat is a 160,k&n drop in,tranny rebuilt with a nice shift kit installed.supposedly the computer was reflashed?im not sure.

the car runs good and strong doesnt miss a beat.has stock 3:23 gear.

all my friends still have there modded foxes and are riding my *** about the z.i need ya'lls help.we did some runs from a 30roll and from a dig.from a roll he took me by 2 from a dig it was like 4 cars.

i need help doing simple thigs to the car to get it to rip.i dont want to go into the engine at this point and ill be driving it on the highways most of the time so we need to consider fuel mileage too.

i was told with the reflash i HAVE to run on 93 octane.

what suggestions do ya'll have?

by the way ive been looking at this sight for a week now and looks badass!

check out the sticky in new user tech. i would start with headers/catback and maybe an electric water pump. you could always go with some nitrous.
EDIT: this sticky https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-modifications/298077-ultimate-lt1-newbie-faq.html

thanks guys, the car came to me i didnt set out to buy a lt1.but the car is so clean and tight i jumped on it.i've had numerous foxbodies,a pritty quick 95,2 97's(dogs),a 01 gt,and just sold my 97 cobra.

i feel like with some small mods to the z it should quicken up pritty good.
ran a buddys fox coupe the other night from a roll and a dig.he got me by 1 car both times
his mods where,b-cam,full exhaust,blow threw meter,cobra intake,65mmtb,elect fans,3:73 and a built aod with a stall.

the z doesnt have **** for mods.lol you can barely hear it!

looks like we're installing 3:7's this weekend.

put about a 3k stall in there and your buddy's stangs will see some lt1 tailights!! even in a lt1, a good stall, long tubes and a sticky tire you will be happy. my cuz has a 95z. 2.73 car witha 3600 tci, longtubes, ORY, 58mm tb and runs 12.9's all day with a good 60ft.
