Honda CRX guy here
Hello guys,
Swinging by the muscle forums, see what kind of things are going on around here.
My DD is a 1990 Crx with a B16A swap. It has an LSD and rocks 30mpg with some suspension work (and no muffler <-- my frustration with mufflers).
My goal is for something along these lines
http://www.k20a.org/racecar/tachscivic.MPG
After graduate school (structural engineering) I'll dig into my project car. It will be the same or different CRX, I'll prob. go the 2.4L route, in Honda/Acura land we can get it from the K-series of motors, either from the TSX, Accord, or CRV.
Initially it will be a stock block with maybe a head swap and tranny swap, custom inners after that, and finally sleeved etc... Turbo route. Although I wouldn't be 100% against doing an N/A build.
One of my 'will own before my days end cars' has always been an old VW Bug with a v8 of choice, and also an AWD transplant.
And actually tonight, i'm trying to hit the local track with my friends Fox body 5.0, 1990. It's stock as they come, no cats, love that smell, and a mean set of exhausts.
I moderate over on k20a.org , Honda/Acura K-Series site, so I know a few things about etiquette on the internet

I'll tell you the muscle world is so big compared to the Honda world. We have maybe 20 years worth of cars/motors to work with. You guys got about what, pushing 60 years of chasis and motors to work with.
INFO OVER LOAD!!!

yeah meshies are one of the best oe wheels for hondas...i like blades too but everybody rocks em and i think theyre played out...
i DD a 2000 ss and my weekend warrior is my 95 civic coupe...im an EF guy at heart but due to certain circumstances i had to get rid of my car before i even had a chance to finish it...
the civic has a 1.9 liter going in w/ a single fogger that ill be upgrading to a full direct port when i have the time/money/patience...hoping for mid 12s on motor low elevens on the bottle...ill post flicks when the new engine is in...the current 11:1 cammed b16 is getting tired.

I'm not so biased either. I had a turbo 93' ex civic before the camaro. 28mpg city after the turbo I really regret selling the car, would have made the perfect daily! As far as ford goes, I would love to build a 331 windsor powered 92' notchback road track monster
