Default another newbie

saw the recent post about harrassment of female members, NOT going to tolerate it. have owned nothing but Pontiacs, love them, raced several, have had old ones, newer ones, fast ones, slow ones, ugly ones, pretty ones...currently terrorizing 'stangs in an '00 T/A (with a few slight mods). only ran it once back in Orl., spun each gear in drive, then whupped a cobra on the way home. teehee. sighs...nothing but 1/8 mile nearby, going through withdrawals...anyway...current county of residence requires emissions testing, and was wanting some tips on exhaust that won't bog me down. currently running flowmasters, love the sound and performance, but since it has no cats, i know it won't pass inspection. any suggestions? like i said, i DO NOT want to go slower, sooo...

I've loved my Magnaflow Catback system. They smog us here in AZ and I love the sound out the 3" Duals. Any pics?

IMO, you pay twice as much without twice the performance.

Default well...not actually from here...

transplanted late last summer, and just moved from Orlando last January. This is my newest car, and, although I was very familiar with the older Ponchos (owned and raced 1970 Firebird-16 second car, 1970 GTO-14 second car bone stock, 1970 RAIII Formula-high 13's stock, high 12's w/transplanted 428, 1964 Tempest wagon-high 11's and brought the front wheels off the ground-dang, I miss that car!!), lucked into this one the way it sits, and wanted to learn more. Picked it up last year at an auction, so not completely sure of the mods, but...wheels, drilled rotors (is that factory? like I said, new to the new cars), 3:73 gear, shift kit in tranny, and who knows what else...a couple of guys have indicated it may have a transplanted engine, but since I'm clueless about even a stock LS1, I can't be sure w/o tearing it apart, which I'm not prepared to do, since it's my DD.

Sooo...do your friends have cars??? that is, cars worth mentioning?? I can't seem to get much action around here, but recently learned in a driver safety class (to keep the points off my record) that in TN you can lose your license and go to jail for street racing. Sucks. Nearest 1/4 mile is Bowling Green, about 1 1/2 hours north of here (well, the way most people drive...teehee...I could make it in under an hour, I'm sure-barring cops, of course!).

Thanks for the heads up on the Borlas. Looking into the MagnaFlows...

Default oh, btw...

wheels are 17" front, 18" back with Nittos. phew, they're expensive!! Keeps me a little more reserved about showing off that power!!! Saving it for the worthy competition, of which having seen much around...maybe they're lurking in their garages??

giggles

Without running the #'s on the block it'd be hard to tell you if it's a transplant. I do love the Vette covers but my guess would be thats all it is, Vette covers. The LS1 blocks are identical, it's the heads and the Corvette had a bit more work done for a few extra horses.

Sorry to tell you it's my buddies mom and she drives a Ford Focus, hardly worth the fuel let alone the Nittos.

Cast # is on the top rear edge of the block. Some common practices to find are using those tiny mirrors that extend out on a rod. Pain in the @ss to see.

Default t/a timeslip

one on the right, 4075...only got to make one pass that night (soon to be ex-dh thought he could do better, so he got a later run...it was a crowded night, and we got there kinda late). this was spinning, bad, even with a decent burn-out (Nittos were worn when we bought it), and spun through each shift in drive.

not my fastest ride ever, but fun for the street, and i still have all the comforts for a DD. longest trip was to bristol, and she gave me no serious problems.

will have to get sub-frame connectors if i do too much more with her, though...problem with those 'birds!
