newbie from illinois
Hello all!
Picking up my 98 Z28 LS1 tomorrow. Can't wait!
It comes with a FAST intake, ported throttle body, heads ported to intake,
Comp cams springs, push rods, and 277 cam, also comes with a t-rex cam that I will be installing. Upgraded tranny, with 3400 Vigillante stall, torque arm,12 bolt strange rear end with 3.73 and spool with 33 spline axles, anti-roll bar,2 set of drag radials,LS1 Edit software, line lock, deep trans pan, long tube ceramic coated headers, 3" y pipe, borla exhaust. That's all I can remember off the top of my head. Got it for $4000.00! What do you all think? I think I stole this car, it has 78,xxx miles on it!
Was told by PO that it went 11.78 @ 118 mph, with the comp cam and 4.11's in the stock 10 bolt.
We shall see about that though, as soon as the paint is done!

I'm in Alton, just across the mississippi from St. Louis. Car is apart right now, picking it up tomorrow in pieces, wet sanded ready for paint, going with sunset orange metallic, puttin the t-rex in and the 12 bolt that is new still banded to the skid! Hopefully within a month or 2 at the outside it will be running! Any suggestions for the oil pump and rod bolts?

Very nice. Get that 12 bolt in cause that 10 bolt isn't gonna last if you plan on running it on the track. Look for a black ws6 with black rims running around. I'm from the bethalto/East Alton area!

12 bolt going in, 10 bolt has blown up spider gears! Just took some pics, as soon as I figure out how to post them I will! Doesn't look like much right now but just bought a quart of 2001 Viper Orange for the jams and engine compartment. So, in about a month, look for an orange flash!

If ya ever wanna stop by give me a holler. I'm an old man, but the car is actually for my son to drive until he buys his own(like that will ever happen!), He is a senior at Alton High, you 2 would have more to talk about than us that is for sure!LOL

engine bay sprayed
under the hood looks pretty good, the inner fenders however are kinda crappy looking, fisheye! Guess I didn't get them as clean as I thought! Oh well, will fix another day! Gotta get the jams and under deck lid done so it can go to the painter( which obviously is not me!LOL)
Any comments on the color? I think it will really pop out in the sun!
