ok but if my car is built for the 4L60e's how could I run a t400 and have it work with my engine? I was always told my car could only run 4L60e's. Can someone clarify this for me? the reason I had the "built" trany was because I have big plans for the car eventually wanting to build a 383 stroker etc....
My Red (750rwhp)car and Silver cars both use 4L60E's and can drive anywhere with overdrive. The trick is (w/4L60E) you need to race the car in drive not overdrive and not spin the tire real hard off the line. If your still spinning the tire at the 1- 2 shift it will break the sprag sometimes at the shift if it suddenly hooks. Whenever I run dragradials instead of slicks, if it spins the tires off the line I peddle the car for a .5 second so it hooks and then you wont break the sprag in the tranny.

I know it took me a long time. Was gone 9 days then haven't had the chance to get on with school and work lately. But i'll try to get on more now. But I didn't forget about ya'll lol! Oh and the trany is stilll not fixed to answer questions I've gotten. I'm saving money at the moment to get it fixed right so hopefully up and running soon. But for now the car has been winterized and is garaged in the very cold weather we;ve been having here lately (30's-40's).Goood to be back!

If you want to keep a 4L60E save up and get a Rossler or Century trans they are the best available nationally. I have a friend here in FL (Chevpower on LS1Tech) that builds great 4L60E tranny's but he dosn't ship out of state mainly local.

Welcome, I'm fairly new to this site as well. But after seeing your pics/car I know what lifes gonna be like when my daughter starts driving, and wants her own car..lol.. She's 5 now and I cant keep her from crawling under the car everytime I'm workinking on it.She already knows the difference between sockets and ratchets, and can set the lb.s on a torque wrench... I'll make sure she sees your post/pics.
