Post racetronic issue: RESOLVED AND "HOW TO" CONTACT INFORMATION

So a week after I installed my pump it has died. Swapped back to factory harness - nothing.
Direct power to the pump - nothing.
Car has run great, wife got home after driving it to work shut it off and when I went to take it to town - dead.

I sent a pm to the racetronix guy on here. Anyone else know how I can rma - get another pump?

They are going to tell you to email support@racetronix.com to make sure that you troubleshot the pump correctly, and I can almost guarantee they are going to bring up some stuff about not having a "licensed shop" install it. Ask me how I know.

Wow! I just installed a pump kit. No problems, but I had a question about installation (no instructions w/harness) and got no response. Figured it out myself. I think if I get any more of their products I'll use one of their vendors so maybe there will be some cust service. Have you tried talking to one of their vendors for advice?

Old Geezer, why do you keep posting these links when it has been determined that this problem only effects the F20000169 which we do not use in our kits? Fear mongering does not help anybody.

If a reference to that link bothers you, so be it.
In the apst, I've purchased your injs, and referred customers to you, for such purchases. However, I'm pretty well fed up w/ your sarcastic bullshit. I'm done.
We have posted more times than we can count on the Buick forum about which pumps are effected as well as Mike. We sell 100's of these F99 systems every month and there is no rash of problems.

There is NO sarcasm here. We understand that you are trying to inform the masses of the potential problem with the F20000169 pumps.

Feel free to post this info in other threads but when it comes to Racetronix product it is not related so please refrain from doing so.

It does not help our customers obtain resolution to their problems.

Thank you.

Perhaps you are spelling our company name wrong in the e-mail. You did name this thread racetronic. Our company name is Racetronix and the e-mail you must sent the required support info to is support@racetronix.com. Once we get this info into our system we can arrange for an RGA.

Make sure you follow the instructions in our support link:

If you require technical assistance with a product your have bought directly from Racetronix please e-mail support@racetronix.com with the following information:

- Your full name and product number in the subject line i.e. John Doe – F99-FPA
(Blank subject lines or things like ‘RE:’ or ‘problem’ will get deleted by our SPAM filters)

- The product number (can be found on our web page or on your invoice)

- Vehicle type and model year

- Purchaser’s name

- Address where your product was shipped to

- Daytime and evening phone numbers stating your hours of availability

- E-mail address used to make your purchase

- Purchase date

Providing detailed information about your problem, when it occurs and what you have done to diagnose the problem so far will help speed the diagnosis along.

Failure to provide any of the information above may lead to delays in a response from our support department.

It will be assumed that if you are trying to diagnose a problem that the person sending this inquiry has:

- The proper skills, training and environment to safely work on the subject vehicle

- The proper tools to install and remove the subject product

- The proper diagnostic aids (i.e. fuel pressure gauge, multi-meter, scan tool, etc.)

- Access to the factory service manual

In most cases Racetronix support dept. will reply via e-mail to provide diagnostic procedures and documents.

When replying to Racetronix e-mails please keep the circular correspondence going back and forth. Do not remove our circulatory correspondence from your reply e-mail. This will only lead to delays in responding to your e-mail.

Please note Racetronix is a manufacture / distributor and is not open on weekends.

Although the public forums contain information on Racetronix products we do not recommend them as a reliable source for product support.

Please confirm all information with Racetronix or a Racetronix dealer before taking action.

Thanks for the positive product feedback.
You along with 1000's of other customers have success with the product and don't seem to have a problem getting support.
These types of threads pop up from time to time mostly because some customers feel they are more likely to get what they want out of a vendor by painting them in a bad light.
After all no news is news unless it is bad news and shoot to kill then ask questions later.

We will get to the bottom of this problem shortly. The customer's alternate e-mail has worked and we have some diagnostic correspondence going.

Glad to hear its being worked out. I'm very pleased with the quality and operation of the pump/harness kit that I have. I do have a gripe though, if you want everybody to contact you by e-mail, let them know you won't respond if they don't have a name and product number in the subject line. you just say contact support@racetronix.com and we sit here trying to figure out why you seem to be "ignoring" us.
