Non-sponsor links aren't going to fly. Hop on Ebay or Amazon and get a universal 3 inch aluminum FMIC piping kit. Or from Frozen Boost. Then buy however large of an FMIC you want for your application. Something like a 24x12x3 or by 4 inch. You can get an El cheapo or you can get something like a Treadstone. ON3, CC Racing, HuronSpeed, etc. You shouldn't have more than 500 into the entire kit. Pull the front bumper, some remove the front bumper support or trim it so the FMIC tucks into it, and simply cut your pipes and connect the dots. I've got at least 3 build threads on here showing it cut to fit and there's dozens more.

If you build your own intercooler kit, I recommend spending the money for a quality intercooler. I've run into too many times where people aren't making the boost they should be seeing, and the problem ends up being a restrictive Chinese intercooler. Just my FYI, thanks. Bob

you really cant fault anyone in this hobby anymore......it is very easy to think that vendors/sellers right now are just "taking advantage" and blaming inflation supply chain etc......i agree with everyone else........you are reading into it too much. he gave you a higher price before you paid him......had you paid then he said no i need more money....then maybe you have a small case..,,However if you did pay the 1800, im sure if you said no i want my money back, im you would have gotten a complete refund no questions asked

A lot of small time guys (say less than $500k in sales/yr) are getting squeezed hard by suppliers and manufacturers lately. Yeah, they get updated pricing every so often, but there is surcharges in effect. So say you buy a kit from a vendor..
1. You pay vendor
2. product drop ships from factory
3. you get product, and everything is good.
4. up to 3 months later vendor gets bill for agreed sales price plus 3 months worth of inflation and materials increases.
5. said vendor actually lost money on this sale.
Not an automotive parts resale(r), but I do work in the trades. my typical supplier price increase came every Feb, and was 3-5%. In the last 3 years, the increases have been quarterly, and no less than 7% each. Before I could shoot a number to a customer and not worry about being $50-100 off. Now, I don't dare quote a job without a phone call first, and will only honor said quote for 2 weeks

It has been really messed up for OEM part suppliers. Our engineers quote jobs on year or multi year contracts, and that used to have "normal" inflation factored in. Now we have raw material price increases that make some parts money losers for the rest of their contracts. Sometimes the carmakers will work with us on adjustments, but not always.

I think everyone is giving bob too much credit, he made a mistake and should own it or dont be an online retailer of Procharger. Great to know he has an army of followers though! I guarantee any of you would be pissed if you tried to buy something online and were given an increased adjusted price and told it was due to inflation. LETS BE REAL!
Grow up.
I'm done with this stupid thread.

I just read the whole thread now.
Bob got caught in the middle with an outdated advertised price, which once caught, he updated. I bet he doesn't post prices anymore, OR puts a stipulation that prices are subject to changes without previous notification.
I think he was fair and honest about this, even knocking off $100. He has to stay in business too, in spite of inconvenient sudden price increases.
I agree the situation wasn't ideal, but Bob isn't the bad guy here.
IF blame must be tossed around, go to the present top of the national political ladder.

I enjoyed reading this.. So you were being a cheap a$$.. wanting a "discount" that you "deserve" and he upped the price hahahahaha.. it's part of life. I have been wanting to order the holley dual 450 retro pump kit.. and I keep watching it increase in price the more I wait... I'll likely order in december so I'm hoping for a sale.. but I don't EXPECT them to just cater to me.

I brought this up to bring awareness to how this was handled on an ethical and moral level. You dont tell someone the price is "x" and then bait and switch. Thats what car salesman do. You honor the price, thats what good business people do. I dont think any of you really understand how it went down, it was very dishonest. You can all kiss bobs *** all you want but its not the right way to do business regardless of all the excuses presented. Ive done thousands of dollars in business with bob in the past and unfortuately this is where it ends.

I understand your frustration because your not getting the deal you thought you were but it was an honest mistake and it was caught before you sent any money. If he would have ran your card already then that would be a little different IMO. I can guarantee you 100% Bob was not trying to screw you over.
